The most important thing I realized is that painful breakups, unrequited love, shitty jobs and the like help us to BUILD CHARACTER and that no matter how bad it feels, we are much better off because of it. Sometimes you have to stand alone to make sure you can. Forget what you want to remember what you deserve. You may not end up where you thought you'd be, but you'll always end up where you were meant to be. You can either let these bad things, define you, destroy you or strengthen you. Fight through it like a warrior. Greater things are to come.

My Bad. Again.

Hello! I'm not dead! I've simply taken a 5 day extended weekend to.....go to driving school.

.....

*crickets chirping*

Hahah YUP. Gotta do it because I know people are fed up with driving me especially the mister and my cousin!!!! They just know I'll cry if they say it to my face and since they love me so much they're just sucking it up Hahaha (I lurve u guys too) So that's what I've been doing during the day since Saturday. Yesterday was my "graduation" day aka last day and i completed my 20 hours in class. Ahhaha sighs. Yup now I need driving times done to get the road test.

*Glances at lx and K*
(Cousin I would bug you too but you drive a van and truth be told you are a female driving machine and I'm too scared to take it on hahah)

Let's hope my daddy will buy my brother and I a used civic or something cheap for us to practice with.

That's pretty much it. All week I've been working long and hard on my contract work and left me very little time to go gym, do long over-due procrasinated-tasks and go out on dates with tghe mister haha

That said i went and totally beast-moded it up at the gym on Monday night by doing Body Pump, Body Steps and Body Combat three hours in a row, zero breaks in between. Oh i felt like such a soldier (because of the adrenaline)!!!!!!! && i was extremely proud of myself because i was at my max par (energy level was at maximum the entire 3 hours, i did not let myself slow down) and i even increased my weights during the strength hour. i think i did pretty well for someone who was on hiatus for a week.  But I'm totally paying for it now, my ENTIRE body feeling like i got punched out.
I really liked the Combat class on Monday (a TINY bit more than my usual Thursday class) because everyone was SO hardcore and i loveddddd that energy but the instructor was so-so compared to the mellow (but lethal) Jamaican instructor who teaches on Thursday. Sad im going to miss hot yoga for the 2nd week but going at it again tmr (Combat) and friday (Pump). Might have to tone down the intensity because I think i might have done some serious damage to my right leg/knee and its starting to concern me. Anyone know a good physio that would pity and charge me less because of my low income? =[

The week will end off pretty awesome with the weather being SPECTACULAR (Spring/Summer dresses every single day ehhehehe) and going out every evening. Ahhhh life is good minus my employment situation (please ask me about it).

Not sure if i mentioned this yet but its official!!! I will be in Cayo Coco during April 24th-May 1st. The countdown is onnnnn for One Week and One Month left until paradise!!!!! I've shopped pretty much non-stop and i have everything i need so i am completely detoxing (except for the essentials i gotta buy i.e. voltage converter) until then. Then potentially NYC with LX in July??? Yays! Going to be a good summer!

Also can anyone let me know where i can find a CHEAP  hair straightener??? Its Day Number-too-fucking-long-to-even-care-because-i-am-going-apeshit-without-a-straightener!!! I'm sending it to the manufacturer today (located in Texas. SOBSx) and it will take about a month and a HALF for them to send a replacement..............i really dont think i can go on life much longer without one (and i feel terrible for asking K for hers until the replacement arrives). I REALLLLY should have thought about how i was going to maintain my new trim before i went and let the Korean lady pretty much shave at my head (but gave me REAL cute school girl bangs ahha) because now i look like a MUSHROOM after every gym session, every morning i wake up. SIGHSSS. Twin suggested that i buy one for under 40 bucks but what im REALLY looking for is something under THIRTY....so people please send me PMs and TEXTS on where i can find a straightener for that price. i don't care about the make, the model and from where. As long as it does the job until my replacement arrives- it will work!!!! im so so desperate guys.

i actually have ALOT to "blog" about but i really should do work...so...until the next time. Whenever that is =[

Sowies im not entertaining anymore.

Fatty Mode

STOP GIVING ME FOOD STARBUCKS. YOU'RE MAKING ME FAT.

Can someone PLEASE remind me to not come on a night when they're clearing their food stock. This is NOT helping my attempt at a janet-jackson machine guns abs body.

HELP MEEEEE.

Bright side today though i went and gave myself an awesome ego boost by doing some major shopping and got my bi-weekly nails done. But at the same time i did some major damage on my Visa at Fairview.

Cu-ba Cu-ba Cu-baaaahhh!!!!!

Machine Gun Typing Update

Hot Yoga

I tried it again with the cousin last Friday. This time i was smart and took a "Karma" class (these are the $5 dollars/donation classes) versus the normal 17dollars class that pretty much tainted my first impression of hot yoga (can be read here). This time around the instructor was much more funnier, friendlier and helpful than the bitch we had last time. I suppose gay men are a lot friendlier than petite Asian chicks. I also don't know if it might be the fact that ive been working out my arms a lot more and it could have contributed to the "ease"-ness of this experience........

Either way my mind is still pretty set on the fact that we had a shitty instructor the first time around though. Now that i'm pro-hot yoga (i wasn't angry when i went to sleep that night!)!! I definitely want to incorporate it into my "fitness" lifestyle at least once a week so the heat can melt away the fatttttt in time for my trip!

Dominican Trip

That said- i am finally going on my first out of the continent trip in approximately 2 months-ish with a bunch of girls whom ive known for half a decade. Plans so far is doing the oh-so-popular all inclusive trip to the Dominican Republic for a week. It is going to be so effing awesome because it means dressing up and drinking every night. Both activities i enjoy very, VERY much. I'm also hoping MY COUSIN (u broke mine and K's heart by DECLINING THE INVITE SO QUICKLY sobs.) will come join because it would be even more fabulous if she did. Also its an OPEN INVITATION to the other girls (Katie, Re & Lil) if MizTran is able to (find time and money haha) come!!!!! Honestly if you girls can come, words cannot describe how unbelievably EPIC this can be. Ahhhh. lol The mister said he'll sponsor me if i want but i dont have the heart to ask me to buy me more clothes when now looking at it i actually have a lot more than i need. His sponsorship will probably go towards paying for Phone Cards since that's one of the conditions the mommy laid out. I would probably have to call home almost every day to let her know that i haven't been eaten by a shark or mugged by the locals. I am tres tres excited because the last time i went on a trip with K and S, the trip was fcuking AWESOME and that was within the province so i can only imagine how awesome this will be. Also its my 2nd time on the plane. PWAHHAH #NOOBFAIL. No further comments to that haha.

The only things that are in my way is:
  • the Rat (might not let me take that many days off) APPROVED
  • My (lack of) passport status
  • Fat body (meaning Gym time is gonna have to be intense for the next 2 months so i can achieve that no-rolls belly)...kinda not really in my way cause l'll still GO.
My budget for this trip is $1200 bucks. That's including pre-shopping, trip fee (plane & accomendations & food), entertainment, passport fee and other necessities.  I am absolutely determined to stay under....wish me goodluck! lol More updates on the trip later!

Chinese New Years & Valentines Day

Chinese New Years is fast approaching and i always feel extra festive when it does. Its probably an AZN PRYDE thing. Hopefully the food wont overwhelm me and make me gain weight. Going to spend time with the family and then im actually allowed to spend VDAY with the mister...surprisingly. Its going to be a funnnnn weekend. =]]] <3 I'm also hoping i get my requested day off, to do all my errands and make it a FOUR day weekend lol

My DIY gift to the mister is slowly making progress. I'm waiting on my manager to obtain the essential "material" for me. Now if she fails, then i fail too and i am gonna end up with a failed DIY project and he'll end up with no Vday gift.

dot dot dot dot

dear god i cross my fingers and toes and hope she doesnt forget haha

fffound

(via Source)
Why are people so damn innovative??? After all these years with being partially handicapped when it comes to opening the damn packets, they've finally found a way to make me not look so stupid!!!!! Wahahaha.

Fourth Attempt @ Avatar in IMAX 3D

Heading says it all lol I think the mister and i are going to attempt it again tomorrow evening. Come on, who goes to the movies on Wednesday nights at 10:30.....aside from us. haha so lets all hope that we are able to see it even though I will probably be mad tired the next day. He has openly volunteered to drive me to work the next day (by staying over at my place) so i can sleep in for an hour more. Very sweet of him, i think l'll take him up on that offer.

ARGHHH I HOPE WE GET TO SEEE ITTTTTTT.

DONE AND DONE. !! Must do work now.

Win (Fatty) Weekend!

Wow i totally deserve to be fat. I ate all weekend and its not looking so good with my "Beast Mode" that i currently was doing some-what well with. Its been a double movie, double Winterlicious weekend and i loveddddddddd every moment of it even though l'll probably be paying for it this week at the gym.

FRIDAY menu
  • Jimmy the Greek Gyro Dinner (with Peas and Carrots in my rice!!! Be proud of me) && I Didn't finish the potatoes and bit of the rice.
  • FUZE Honey Greentea at like 1am
As predicted, that day i had quite a stressful day. It was a lot more stressful than i thought it would be so i OT-ed for an extra 2 hours. The mister and i ended driving back east and ate dinner in the STC food court and ended up watching Daybreakers. We've wanted to see this movie since the day it came out and it did NOT disappoint me one bit.

I now have a small crush on Ethan Hawke. I couldnt keep my eyes off of him throughout the movie. It was by pure coincidence that he played a VAMPIRE named EDWARD............................wahhahahahaha (reference to EDWARD CULLENT from twilight for those who did NOT make the connection). Even though hes old, HE'S HAWT. AHHH fan me please.

SATURDAY menu
  • Lobster and Crab Soup, Roasted Beef Brisket with Yukon Mash, Mixed Berries Shortcake and big spoonfuls of Banana Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice cream and Caramel Syrup
  • Two Venti Zen Greentea with 2 swirls of Honey
  • Ms. Vickies Sweet Onion Chips
  • 6 inch Cold Cut Sub on Wholewheat bread
LX and i met up with the boys for our Winterlicious lunch @ Fred's Not Here. I didnt really notice this but lx brought this up and I looked up and saw there being more Chinese patrons than there are Caucasians and this is Fred's Not Here we are talking about- not dimsum. I think the Asian population caught onto there being an annual seasonal dining festival and want to join in on the fun too. I don't know. It was all very weird to me because we eat at these restaurants to get away from large groups of asians and here they are too.

Anyways the lunch itself was very delicious. I think i would have just paid the full lunch price JUST to eat the soup. Afterwards we did our usual Starbucks thing and spent a good four hours just talking and catching up because we havnt seen Junior in months. We then proceeded to watching Book of Eli and snuck in our dinners. BAM. Just like that, double movie nights. The Cineplex Odeon gods must love us so much.

Book of Eli was ALRIGHT. That one little twist was probably the best part of the movie....and maybe the old creepy old couple part because they had military-style weapons. Weapons always makes a movie more fun lol Otherwise, too much sexual brutality (i.e. rape). Two scenes were already way too much. And there wasn't enough fighting even though I think the initial idea/purpose of the plotline was to (indirectly promote the bible) get people to appreciate the little things that we have and shouldn't take things forgranted. I think the message for me was lost along the way in the movie. Overall I preferred Daybreakers from the night before.

i really liked Mila Kunis (JACKIE!) though. The windy messed-up boob-length hair, the bad-ass aviator sunglasses. She was hawt.

The night ended with us taking a trip to the ghetto west-end and as always, the day was fabulously great and i love these guys to death. I'm pretty sure the feelings are mutual amongst us four which makes me unbelievably happy.

RANDOM SIDE NOTE
Guess who got their laptop back!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeMEEE (finally)!!!!!!!!!!! Ohmygod it feels so great to have it back. I'm actually quite frighten to download anything now because of this attack (of the trojans and worms!) which isn't good for my drama-watching. D installed Windows 7 as my OS and im loving it. Its so so fast and everything is so smoothhhhhhhhh. I just hope i dont mess it up again seeing this is like my third or fourth time to reformat this piece of crap. I just need to re-personalize it and install all my ADOBE and OFFICE stuff and perhaps set-up an impenetrable security system and take over the wide wide web while in at it.

SUNDAY menu

  • A small slice of blueberry cake
  • Tall Iced Americano, Extra Sweet
  • Venti Zen Green tea with one swirl of honey
  • Matane Shrimp Pate with flax seed lavash & tobiko vinaigrette, Hungarian Beef Goulash with Cottage Cheese and Sticky Toffee Pudding (aka a big piece of sponge in toffee sauce!)
  • Three glasses of wine
  • Hot Pot!!!
I regretfully skimped out on going to BodySteps because i was too exhausted from the previous day's activities (lots of walking around DT) even though i really should have just gotten up anyways b/C L began texting me at 9am lollll The girls and i had plans to eat at Oliver and Bonacini (my 2nd winterlicious this weekend) and eventually i had to get up and put on my face. Travelled to Starbucks to wait for the girls to come get me and the tale begins.

Everyone knows what an Avid Starbucks drinker I am. It has gotten progressively worst now that the boyfriend works there and we have become what I call- Coffee Snobs. We have been completely brainwashed by the weird-ass Green Logo and have urges to go to Starbucks if two days has gone by without having one. Because of that, I would say I am more or less NOT a noob when it comes to ordering and knowing its PRICES at Starbucks.

I do my usual order of a Venti Green Tea because i know the Green Tea will come into good use after my late lunch (Green tea BURNS fat!!!!! Or so i tell myself that anyways heh). The girl at cash rings in my order and it comes out to being double of what its worth. I told her politely (even though its a very arrogant thing to do) that she must have made a mistake because I only asked for ONE tea bag and not two. She goes into a long string of babble about how this is the new system since the new line of teabags came.

Stop right there.

Erm. New system?

Buddy i was just AT Starbucks YESTERDAY and they didnt ring in what im seeing now AND on top of that the bf made no mentions of this new system (yes he would fill me in just like if i was working for SB) so i dont know wtf you're trying to get at
 - all in my head.

I asked again when was this implemented and she gave me more BS that its been weeks which again is A LIE b/c like i just saiddddddd, i was just there not even 24 hours ago. I called the mister hoping he can clarify this and give this bitch grief about her mistake and UNWILLINGNESS to just give me one fcuking teabag and more water. SADLY, the mister didnt pick up and i WASNT able to give the girl terror as i planned out in my head......so i settled for an Americano (something they CANNOT fcuk up) and asked her to refill my card with 40 bucks.

At the end of ALLLLL that after paying for my drink and my recharge, she gives me a Venti Zen green tea (ONE teabag) on the house and apologizes for the "inconvenience" it has caused me.............BUT i should understand that this is how the system is from now.

I didn't know whether i should have been angry because shes still not getting it or impressed with the politeness and courtesy she showed which is what Starbucks Customer Service is all about!?!? That said though, i confirmed with the mister later that night that she is in fact moronic (i am right. Of course) and i should complain to a shift manager the next time something like this happens.

That was my Starbucks tale of the month. haha
The lunch was great! lolllll Had a wonderful time with the girls even though the food was not as impressive as I imagined it to be. Hopefully we'll have a nights out soon because i love dressing up with you ladies : ))

In short, in the evening when i got home i walked into the kitchen and saw all the prep for HOT POT. AH i swear the first thing that came to my mind was F.M.L. && just like that i had another too satisfying meal to end off the weekend.

And that was my weekend kiddos.
This turned out to be much longer than anticipated. Enjoy the work week peeps, happy reading!

Combat it Out

I had a pretty cruddy end of the day today. I really don't like playing the Blame Game at the office and i am in no particular mood to play it at 4:30pm. That is definately not something I am looking forward to facing tomorrow at work. It's going to be a long day...i better load it up on the whole wheat "organic" crackers and roasted garlic hummus aka my new favorite snack in the whole world! (Next to those Cranberry Addictivethins...mmmm nom nom noms).

As routine goes, every Tuesday and Thursday are my gym nights (Pump & Combat respectively) because my shitty membership only allows me to go on those days (and Sunday...but those mornings are dependent on soooo many factors like if whether i slept at midnight orrrrr 3:30am) and only at one specific club. Anyhoo, rain or shine or snow- i'll be there and ive been doing SO SO great. I am SO close to my prizeeeee. HEHEHEHE. So I find myself enjoying Body Combat a lot more than pump because its more cardio mixed with "subtle" strength training. Also the fact its like *make-believe* training for your big knock-out fight with...iono. the bitch with the large teeth you hate. (Sorry, thats my make-believe fight. argh i really dont like her.) Okay so im sure everyone has a bitch with large teeth that they secretly want to take down in their hearts - this IS the class to attend to take out your anger and punch your fat out.

Who doesn't like violence right? Clearly I do because i swear i see nobody around me when I combat except my opponents face. Sometimes it turns into the rat! and we all know how much i hate the rat.

I can't believe i just typed that. It looks so incriminating.

Anyways! So its a great class that i wish i can attend every single day. According to the website the class is described as:
BODYCOMBAT™ is a non-combat (okay so maybe the Combat part i totally made up in my mind), martial arts-based fitness program with moves drawn from Karate, Tae Kwan Do, Kung Fu, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Tai Chi. With the following benefits (c/o lesmill.com):
  • Improves heart and lung function and reduces the risk of heart disease(Yeah yeah)
  • Tones and shapes key muscle groups
(Muscles eat fat for breakfast/lunch AND dinner! Win.)
  • Burns calories for a leaner body (The two magic words together: BURN and CALORIES. Can't lose)
  • Improves co-ordination and agility (I'm still pretty clumsy. This is a maybe)
  • Improves bone density (Can't tell!)
  • Improves posture and core strength and stability (I suppose. But im still very lazy)
  • Builds self-confidence (in my mind...haha)
I felt like blogging about this tonight because i still felt unbelievably pumped from the class five hours later. I swear I havn't had such a great class in SO long. I mean every class is great and I sweat my ass and armpits off (ive had so many injuries from pulling something too hard) every single time but today's class was exceptional. The instructor (who is freaking awesome because he is Jah-mai-can and such a biggggg buff guy with dreads....oh and hes very entertaining too) threw in some new CHALLENGING moves (i.e. LUNGES. omg my cousin would have freaking died today from doing Lunges hahah i was thinking of you the entire time MizTran!!!! & how your bum hurts from those hardcore lunges you did in the past 2 days) and even though it was sooo painful i loved every second. AHHH. Craziness. I am like experiencing a crazy adrenaline rush or something. Which is very weird because its close to my bedtime and im normally flat and down on my bed..........instead im blogging...on my brothers computer. I wonder if my mom put anything "extra" in the soup that might be the cause of all this..............

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Strangeness. I had a string of babble and then i looked over @ the tv and saw the LEGION trailer and i lost EVERYTHING in my head.

And just like that I lost my blogging high.

Booooooo(b)s >.<

Hope you guys didn't have too much trouble finding this

(via Source )

Avatar the movie has been out playing in theaters for approximately 3 weeks and five days in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D. It's still freaking # 1 at the Box Office internationally and it was officially the 3rd failed attempt that the lx and i couldn't watch it on Tuesday- and that REALLLY pisses us off because we're both big movie-watchers and not being able to see a #1 box office film within the first 2 weeks of its release reallly annoys us.

That said though, we've been only willing to watch it in IMAX 3D and will not even settle for 3D let alone 2D. You might call us picky but like ive blogged about it before, it was made for this technology so why should we settle for less. There's only THREE theatres in the GTA that has IMAX theatres which are Scotiabank (DT), Colossus (Vaughn), Coliseum Mississauga (Sq 1). For us, the Vaughn one is actually the closest and that's been the one that we've been lurking at for the past 3 weeks. Its unbelievable how sold out they are and we are kind of at a bigger disadvantage than everyone else because we can't buy our tickets online due to the fact we have these IMAX certificates and we would actually have to pay extra if we order them online vs. lining up and using them. Its such a bitch. arghhh.

Hope we see it soon, cuz its making us very very angry. AND it better be as great as its hyped up to be.

Moving on -

The other day on Twitter my cousin used the term "Twin Couple" when she was referring to the mister and i and i thought how appropriately cute that was lol I find her and her mister to be the biggest goofballs and i absolutely adore their company. There is seriously not a dull moment EVER whenever we have our double date and i always feel the love between them even when they are bickering....and lx and i just laugh at them. I'm at that age where a lot of my friends are in relationships (especially in the GCM fam, every girl has a boyfriend!!!) but what i find interesting is that every couple has their own "personal flair" and after endless conversations with K and the cousin, I can almost conclude that there is no "normal" way of being a couple. What I mean by that is not every single relationship needs to go by the unknown textbook of how a "classic" couple is suppose to be and how they're suppose to act. What lx and i may find fun others might find it being ridiculous and vice versa, what others think are "normal", we might find it to be boring. After explaining all that, I find that my relationship with lx is very similar to my cousin's relationship with her boyfriend. We're the type of couple that enjoys bickering and picking on each other ....which lots of people find weird because couples are "suppose" to be nice and polite to each other. YAWNs.

Anyhoo we had a delightful, calories and sugar-filled evening the other night over Poker and Big 2....just like exactly how she blogged about it lol Lets do up a wings night soon! Hearts you both lots.

Other random thoughts:
  • I've been on Beast Mode for the past 2 weeks and i shall CONTINUE to be on Beast Mode.
  • BEAST MODE is when you are eating healthy, working out, not drinking every night and working hard! (Rob Kardashian)
  • I need to get the cousin to show me how to use the weight machines.
  • Talked to J about this, but i want to get the GCM kids together for a "Chinese New Years" dinner in February (either early Feb before CYN or late Feb after CYN). Probably hotpot and some unknown activity afterwards. Await for the FB event kids!!
  • 2 Winterlicious lunches with the ladies and then one with the boys (back to back!!) because we all can't afford Winterlicious dinners.
  • I'm still hunting for things for my room. Gah. So hard. && just obtained the gorgeous patterned wallpaper from K last night. <333 Can't wait to put it up!!
  • 4th Attempt at Avatar with the mister soon.
  • Much needed trip to BMV. My booklist significantly grew after my last visit to Chapters.
  • I actually have no laptop at the moment. Its under the attack of trojans, worms, hijacks (?!) and viruses soo i havnt turned it on since Sunday. I am on facebook significantly less and being very unproductive in terms of my design work etc. Its starting to annoy me just a tiny bit this little inconvenience............
  • It's a little hard to believe, but i've actually read 7/15 books Nicholas Sparks (aka the author of THE NOTEBOOK) has written. Actually its not THAT hard to believe given that I am the type of person that likes to deliberately watch and read things that makes me cry. I might make it a goal to do 15/15 this year.

I'm starting to sound boring again. I'll stop.

That's Taylor Momsen for those who don't know. or Little Jenny Humpfrey from Gossip Girl. I don't like her. But i do like her hair very much. & Legs. She has some beautiful pocky stick legs.

&& im breaking out like crazy. J says this is my skin purging and cleansing itself for pimple-free skin. I hope thats the case and not an issue of hormonal imbalance : (((

My Mommy Said

Last night my mommy told me that i had a big butt. And since i agree with her, i think another new goal for me is to work towards having magnificent buttocks too.

Thought i'll share.

Hot Yoga made me sick

The other night my cousin, K and myself went and tried out Hot Yoga because it seems to be the "fad" thing to do with your girlfriends on a work evening. I really wanted to see what the hype was about and also sites were saying you can "trim CMs off of ur waist" if you incorporate hot yoga into your fitness regime and i think that pretty much sold me.

We went to Moksha Yoga Markham to discover you gotta take off your shoes/socks when you enter. It was a real bitch already b/c the room wasnt even properly carpeted and clearly wasnt big enough for everyone to take off their boots. Im sure its not problem during the summer but it was so nasty yesterday. Wet stinky feet much? The "Express" class we took was 17 bucks and i refrained from buying their 300 dollars 20 class package to see how i liked it first and im really glad i didnt because i came out of the class feeling nauseous and STRESSED. Honestly, who feels stress after YOGA? Uhhhhhh i did.

On their website, they had nooo warning whatsoever about participants needing to have STRONG endurance. Nor do they caution you to take a 60 minute class versus a 90 minute class if its your fist time because the heat was seriously overwhelming. I didn't even factor in that possibility when i went in the sauna-like room until we started doing the warm-up and i felt like i was going to die. There were two possibilities that could have happened. One, i pass out and totally embarrass K and my cousin (not very ideal). Or two, die in that room from the heat (Not the most ideal one either)!!! I swear the entire time in my head i thought i kept on thinking, the last thing i am going to be doing before i die is this stupid doggy hot yoga move with this bitch (the instructor)'s voice ringing in my ear. Just utterly wonderful.

Obviously i survived to tell my horrid tale.

So afterwards, we're about to leave the place we walk past the snooty instructor girl and out of courtesy (because i am so polite and nice) i thanked her for the class. She then begins to speak in a way where she was pretty much making fun of me and "teaching me" what i should do in life. I was so dumbstruck that i just walked away completely shocked at how bitchy and rude she was. I think if we walked any slower (or if she talked any faster) i think K would have punched her nose or something. She was extremely rude and to me, not instructor-worthy at all comparatively to all the instructors i've had at Goodlife. She was far from being friendly, thoughtful and informative about Yoga. I understand that you must be at a pace where the regulars won't be bored with your class but at the same time i would think a YOGA instructor should be very understanding and shouldn't judge whether you can complete her routine or not.

That said, today i had to leave work early because staring at the computer screen made me dizzy (reading gossip just wasn't at its usual height today) and the heavy feeling and stabbing pain in the head did not help at all. After my three hour nap my head still feels rather stabby. I suspect it was the heat that really hit me hard because i did two power-combat&pump classes prior to hot yoga (all in 5 hours) and i completely overworked myself. Conclusion to that is, i won't be returning to any of those classes that are taught by that bitch and i am either gonna try out Yoga Tree that is by the misters or Moksha Yoga Richmond hill which is ALSO by the mister lol. If i'm gonna return to the Markham location, its gonna be when i have much better endurance. I guess the whole "hot yoga twice a week" as a new years resolution is a big complete fail for me. And it hasnt even been two weeks into 2010!!!!!! !@#$!!!!

But seriously. Who gets angry after Hot Yoga? Isn't it all about the zen and tranquility!!!?? Gah It probably is just a kay thing, i have opposite reactions to everything i swear.

On another note. I'm also glad ur joining Goodlife jennut :  ) Ill see you next week!

Ooooookies. im done with my bitch rant.

I also would like to announce a life goal of mine. Which is to find this hoodie:

A Bape DC Comics Superheroes White hoodie w/ a Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash Gordan and Superman print!!!!!!!!!!!!! (WITH SEWN ON EARS!!) Isn't it SO SO cute?!?! Even if it costs me two-three bills. And perhaps maybe travelling to either HK, JAP, LA, and/or NYC to get it- I willllllllllll buy it for LX....... so i can wear too.

WIN!

2009 Wrap-Up - Long and Boring

I know l'll be writing this post in pieces, hopefully it won't be too too choppy. At first I As tradition goes, ever since December 31st, 2005 over at dorkus_x@xanga, i've been typing up my reflections on my year and what i have learned in that year. Half a decade has past since then and now here I am typing up my first new years wrapup on blogspot. I was really debating how i should type this up but i think for the sake of my disorganized blogging tendencies i think l'll just do sections versus something else I had in mind.

On an overall note, i felt like 2009 was the year that I learned the most about myself and also the year that opened my mind up the most. I would say it was a good year- though i do hope very much that 2010 would be better for me financially and physically. As I get older, I don’t expect much so as the same as 2009, I don’t expect very much from 2010 because we are all going downhill. Haha

That said, 2010 marks a new decade. Ten whole years since 2000 when i was fourteen-ish and we all prepared for the MILLENNIUM. I can't even recall half the things i did and experienced in all that time. As sad as this may sound, but i doubt l'll ever experience the same excitement and drama that i went through in the past ten years in the coming ten years. I guess it will be different experiences but surely it won't be the same as highschool, GRADUATING from highschool (the worst commencement ever. i deliberately missed mine), my drunken drinking machine youth, entering GCM, graduating university, all the people i have met, wanted to kill, loved, meeting the mister, first graduate job, etc. In the next ten years i can only see bills and more bills for me haha.

And just a random FYI. 2010 was also the year Lisa Simpson got married in the 1995 episode.

ISNT THAT SO SO WEIRD!!!!!!....We’re SOOOO OLDDD.
Haha. Thought I would share that interesting point. Lol

Anyways now the fun stuff. I spent NYE with the mister’s sister and his brother-in-law and their cousins/brothers/friends, playing poker. It was a little weird at first because they're all MARRIED but thnx god they're fun people and didn’t make a big deal at the fact that I was the youngest, non-married person there. The original plan was to go watch Avatar in IMAX 3D but due to ridiculous circumstances we opted out for last minute poker instead lol I am having GREAT feelings about 2010 though because that same day (on NYE) I found 15 bucks cash at loblaws while shopping with the mister’s sister and won the bigger portion of the pot at Poker (it was my first time playing on my own with MINIMAL assistance from lx) and it was SUCH an awesome way to end 2009 and start 2010. Lets hope this lucky streak continues for the rest of the year.

Here are some of the New Years Resolutions that I realllllly hope to keep (again) but are most likely doomed according to statistics.

Career/Design
All my life I have always been the one that believes in working hard for a salary and coming home with stable income. This was very much heavily influenced by my dad whom I believe is the most hard working man I know. Nobody works harder than him to provide income for the family. This year because of the recession and the automotive industry downfall, both my parents lost their job and money definitely became a number 1 concern for all of us. I have seen him work labour intensive jobs over the past half year, watch him come home with sore knuckles and knees, putting his hands in medicine water in the evening to prevent shaking and to only watch him repeat all of that the next day because he refuses to put the burden on anyone else. I won’t talk about my job situation here in risk of compromising my current role but those whom ive talked to should understand why I need to stay even though....i should really leave. At the same time of course, after briefly sharing why I believe in working hard for a stable income, this year also made me realized how important it is to be ambitious and how critical it is to have passion in the work you are doing. Since I’m a heavy believer in just “making money”, I never really shared the same vision as the mister did when it came to “starting my own business”, or waiting out for the job that gives you “the” drive. I confess that for the longest time i’ve always felt like he was wasting his time when I believed making mediocore money is more practical than dreaming of big money. I am guilty of being complete narrow-minded (please forgive me!!!!!) until one morning when I woke up to go to work I felt no drive. I felt empty and the worst part was, I couldn’t design anything decent anymore. That scared me a lot because design to me is everything in my life. And then everything somehow clicked one night when lx and I talked well past 2am about what was really bothering me and what was making me change. All the past discussions lx and I had on goals, money and career, all the stuff that never got through to me somehow just made complete sense. I finally understand that it really isnt all about the money. Its about fulfilling yourself and doing what you love and for me its design...anddddd some other stuff that im not going to bring up. Most importantly though, I finally understood where he was coming from, why he has these plans and why he believes so strongly in certain things. I think its really hard for people to understand which is why I don’t expect anyone to. As long as I am able to understand myself, I believe the path would be a lot more clear......not to sound religious or anything like that.

In conclusion for 2010,
  • I got to get my website up and going (I totally ditched that)
  • Really reflect and figure out what I want to do in life and find direction
Because its not even about money anymore...even though it probably is but for the sake of sounding less greedy, lets say its not.
  • Find a more steady job
  • Start financing, build a portfolio and save up for my dream.

Physical/Fitness/Appearance
This is on every girls’ resolution list and most of us fall off of it in the second day haha That said though I still gotta try and at least blog it down to remind myself that I did at the very least attempted to begin a more healthy lifestyle. I joined Goodlife fitness in July/August-ish and was doing rather great until I fell sick, and got my hives (TWICE) and work became insane and that’s when I stopped for three months. Gonna start up again with the following resolutionsssss:

  • Find a sport that the mister and I can play and not be lazy about it
  • Grow my hair longgggg.
I am 4.5” away from my goal.
  • Take care of my skin
Meaning no picking at pimples, lots and lots of green tea and water to keep myself hydrated)
  • Lose weight
No number in mind. Just an overall difference and so I don’t feel so ugly in pics (noticed I don’t load pics anymore cuz I tend to go on a pics hiatus when im fat) and i also have five dresses i bought that i cannot wear with my current body size.
  • Get back into my fitness regime
Working out 3 times a week, strength train, cardio and hot yoga twice a week. any1 care to join me let me know!!! K and i are on this regime until S's wedding haha
  • Go get my Physical test that ive over-procrastinate about
  • Eat more fruits and make an effort to make sure every cooked meal has some kind of vegetable I can eat (even if it means yams everyday)

THINGS I WANNA DO/ACCOMPLISH/LEARN THIS YEAR:
  • G2 G2 G2 G2 G2 G2
  • PASSPORT PASSPORT PASSPORT
  • Indoor Volleyball with the kids
  • Outdoor Paintballing with the kids
  • Cottege Cottege
  • NYC NYC NYC
  • Learn how to contour my face (haha sounds wrong) & how to use bronzer PROPERLY
  • Bake more
  • Complete my DIY Projects
  • Get my Full Set of Contacts for the year
  • SWIMMING SWIMMING
  • SNOWBOARD SNOWBOARD (not this season but the upcoming winter season cuz I don’t have gear and the mister and i r gonna go hunting for CHEAP CHEAP gear once the season is over in March-ish.)
  • Finish my room reno by Summer 2010

I started this entry at work a few weeks before Christmas time, then christmas came and this completely went cold. Then I started up again at Starbucks while the mister is working but that failed on me too because I was in a really comfortable sofa chair and watching dramas while sipping on a nice grande Caramel Apple Spice (with whip and explosion of caramel sauce) and seemed more like the appropriate thing to do than to blog. Finally now im back and finishing this up at work.....heh. I guess that’s all? I KNOW I will be triple editing/adding onto this through-out the day.

Happy New Years to the people that come by my blog. Lots of thanks =] and wishing you guys the best of everything.

Oink

I've been at it like a pig for the past 3 months. I've totally wasted three months worth of gym membership when i had to continue paying even though im not actually going. Gah. Ninty-ish dollars gone. Let's hope starting next week i can get back into it. Feeling like poo, physically. My chub is exploding again. I really should do something about it instead of just whining.

Anyways it started to snow today and i was in a way kind of happy because this means the Christmas spirit in me is coming back soon!!! Even with the Eaton Centre decorated with its Swarovski Tree and Starbucks and their Red Cups, I am not even close to feeling the Christmas spirit. I completely forgot that the Cavalcade of Lights existed and didnt even realize it until GlobalTv did a feature. I felt rather numb watching the pretty fireworks go at it at Nathan Phillip Square when normally i would feel all warm and bubbly when i see pretty lights and fireworks...it was actually really depressing lol. Hopefully, i can see the boys on Saturday for our overdue date and then sneak in skating with the mister at night to bring some Christmas cheer back into our lives lol I also have to start Christmas shopping for the family, Lx's family and close friends. I crossed the biggest one off my list today (being no-good) and that's always a good thing because i always stress about what to get him every year.

Also praying that the MINUS degrees weather isnt going to hit before my new jacket comes from BC!!!!!! I havnt bought anything BIG in a long time so this is reallly exciting for me. lol I am also going to conclude that there is absolutely no UGGs in my future because the only ones i want have officially been discontinued and i have no desire in wanting any others. I must find a different way to keep my feet warm. lol And can someone pwleaseeeeeee let me know when pretty bedsheets go on sale? I'm having no luck with these : ((

I foresee in the near future.....
  • A really big reno job in both my room and Karyn's haha
  • A trip to the dermatologist
  • Possibly two secret santa's
  • Skating @ Nathan Phillip Square
  • Three months over-due Movie/Starbucks Date with the Boys
  • Dinner with the Cousin
  • Gossip Girl & House Catch-Up Drama Night
  • Annual Christmas Cookie Baking for the Mister
Ok suddenly this turns into a random word vomit because my blogging mode switched on. Since ive gone past my bedtime im going to have to cut short and cheat with point-form.
  • Songs on Repeat: Lady Gaga- Bad Romance and Jason Derulo- Whatcha Say. Both were heavily influenced by Gossip Girl.
  • The Victoria Secret Fashion Show was pretty good this year minus that whole reality-hunt-for-the-next VS Angel thing. i really despise the winner, she was cocky and couldnt walk but thats just my opinion. i lovee lovee the Black Eye Peas and Fergie's thunder thighs. i really didnt like their song Meet me Halfway at first but again, under the influence of hot half-naked chicks that song is on repeat too.
  • Obsessed with organizing/labeling/filtering/categorizing my e-mails in GMAIL. i really do have some sort of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
  • I find myself getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks or so. It is the most princess-thing i can do but there's honestly something about having someone shape and buff your nails for you that's just so satisfying....even though i technically can do it myself. I think its one of those things i would skimp out on a lunch just to save enough to go to a nail bar/salon.
  • Matte Nail Polish: you are mine soon.
  • Last night i dreamt i was part of the TWILIGHT/NEW MOON/ECLIPSE movie and i was with the "Wolf" Gang (sadly Taylor Lautner was NOT in my dream) but regardless the wolf guys were REALLLLLY sexy in my dream hahaha. ^______^
  • Have a new found love for Vitamin Water. I downed a whole bottle and a half tonight. It was delicious. I kept on wanting more. I dont know if this is normal.
  • Met up with the kids this past weekend and gamed it up til 4:30am. I was completely dead the next day.
  • Successfully planned another Birthday Surprise that worked out beautifully. I still haven't lost my touch : ) It reminded me of why im always the planner for events. Seeing people happy made the stress completely worth it at the end.
  • Twin tried hot yoga for the first time yesterday and reported it back to me on a one on one basis and basically: I AM SOLD. J and/or Cousin, we must go soon. lol
  • i heart mister. he makes me laugh.
GOODNIGGTHS. .

    Victoria Secret Christmas Fashion Show

Every year I torture myself by watching the Victoria Secret Fashion show in December. I always look forward to it because it always means Christmas is around the corner and also, there is something so satisfying about watching those girls walk the runway with their cleavage and buttocks swinging by in those gorgeous shows. heh. The best show to date is the year they had J.Timberlake as guest performer!!!! I thought the show that year was unbelievably hotttttt. i hope this year they got Lady gaga or someone like her to guest perform!!!! Btw. I am so Team "Alessandra Ambrosio". The girl is HAWT. I hope shes still in the show this year and hasn't retired like Giselle.

I hope I don't miss it tonight! Tonight is date night with mister.

    Deja Vu

So i have my gay rash/hive thing again. My eyes are mega swollen, blotchy and itchy. Same goes with my arms. I'm just praying it doesnt spread. I think i can almost conclude that my skin is so sensitive, i am unable to undergo any type of intense, exfoliating, facial-like procedure....which is a big bummer. Hopefully since this my second time in two months, it will go away faster because i've reacted faster to treating it and it will go away by.....HALLOWEEEN!!!!! Omg if i have this for Halloween, Octobers is officially my CURSE month. The reason being ever since i think Year 2 University, every October i've been cursed with either an intense cold, a kidney infection (!!!!) and/or now, an allergy rash.

    Yeps not good.

Anyways, Sylvia & David's Engagement dinner was last night and it was a total success. I hope they enjoyed themselves very, very much. This is totally vain of me, but i just wanted to show off my very lame (but somewhat successful) attempt at calligraphy while writing in their card....3am in the morning.

    HMMMM, i think i did a wonderful job...don't you think? ^^;;

And on the subject of shoes and shopping:

    (via source)

Christina Aguilera's actual closet. Messed! That's ridiculously hot. She's ridiculously hot in that outfit too. Her kid kind of looks neglected there though. With all those shoes you would think she can afford some pants for her baby lol

This is what i do when i'm sad- look at other people's rich lives and expensive sexy shoes lol

    old-school love

Last night on facebook, the first Wex (my highschool)-sweethearts from my grade changed their status to ENGAGED. As expected as it was and we all saw it coming but rather it was a matter of time of when it will happen- i am at complete loss of words when it comes to describing how unbelievably happy i am for them. Even though i've had no direct contact (well maybe except for the groom-to-be, i had an occasion few PSY classes with him over the 4 yrs at Ryerson) since high school, it's still great to see them tie the knot (finally). They're both really kind people and definitely deserve each other.

In a way i think i'm way TOO happy for them? Given the fact i don't exactly hang with them haha I guess this news for me is also validation that fairytale endings do exist. For the past couple of years i've been pretty skeptical of this (especially when it comes to highschool sweethearts). With all the break-ups i've heard, witnessed and been part of- it makes it all the harder when everyone around you (including yourself) isn't living that fairytale dream that you believe in. Thus with them tying the knot, they're living proof to me that old-school love can survive (!!) in this modern day era where greed, money, technology and ambitions can destroy all that.

Whichhhhhh would explain why i am SO SO happy because they're going AGAINST the grain!! (ha ha GCM nerd joke) A big congrats to them! I'm excited to see her load their wedding pictures.

Up next, G&N, ET&Jules, and enoughabout-you&A on the alter list lol. I'm waiting for those facebook status changes.

    Side-note,
Face is slowly recovering, neck is still gross but on the path to recovery. What i'm actually quite fearful of right now is the swelling around the eye area. B/c the eye area is extra sensitive, i fear that the wrinkles that are visibly present are going to stay there permanently. Shit i was telling the mister last night i look like i'm forty and that scares the fcuk out of me. I've been going out (only for work and either walmart or price chopper) without makeup on for the past week (FYI: There hasn't been a day where I have left the house without eyeliner on since 2004) all while praying i don't bump into anyone i know, or anyone lx knows (i don't want to embarrass him). I don't understand how something can appear so quick but can take SO long to go away.
    Unbelievable.

Oh and i bought New Moon tickets for myself and twin.
Even though we are a month and two weeks early. giggle giggle.

    Starbucks Addict

Gah and here you people think i am a Starbucks freak, always hanging around there lol. I'm a noob compared to this guy! Bringing his mini mac and his 15" monitor with the keyboard and the works!

    Quick update.

i missed Nuit Blanche yesterday night (will write an more in-depth blog entry on my feelings on that) because the mister assessed my face and felt like i was in no shape to leave the house, let alone walk around Toronto until sunrise. So, i stayed home and was bitter (because he made me chop my nails) while watching Legend of the Condor Heroes 94 (the one with Chi Lam!) until 3am.

Face is slightly better today, but probably only due to the fact that i have an icepack/cold compressor bag stuck to my face every waking AND sleeping second. Hopefully a right can come out of this mess of wrongs. What i mean is hopefully this rash on my face can lead to my face clearing up. I also need to really buckle down and start detox-ing my system and begin a meal plan for the next few months. I need to start watching and taking care of my health because indirectly that will affect my weight and appearance of my skin in a positive light. I'm fairly confident i can do it, the only obstacle is making the time, or rather setting a time aside for me to plan for it all and of course, discipline above all. If lx can quit smoking for me (and of course himself), i know i would be able to do this for him and myself.

    Yeah that's about it.

Day6: Life with a Hair Straightener

I picked up a Hair Straighter at some Beauty Supply Store by the misters this weekend and to my surprise i didn't spend as much as i thought i was going to. Anyways, l'll like to express (here, i already expressed my feelings on twitter) how surprised i am..actually more like shock, on how i was able to go through life without a hair straightener. Seriously guys, i thought we were friends? Why'd you people let me live life with bush-like hair? haha Shame on all of you. Honestly i am still in disbelief how different my hair looks once its straightened. It seriously is one of the greatest invention EVER (@ what jennut's tweet said lol) Also as twin once said to me (and she is always, ALWAYS righ)

"...do it (buy the straightener). It will change your life. Like how Harry Potter and Twilight did."

YES! INDEED! I no longer look like a lion!!!!

    Moving on.
Hmmm I havn't word vomited in a while, so here goes all my randomness.

I actually wrote this entry a couple of days ago but didn't get a chance to complete it so some of the material is pretty old and lame. The most exciting recent news is i broke out in nasty red rashes all over my face. I'm not exaggerating about my face being very red, bumpy, swollen and itchy all over (even on my eyelids) and has kind of spread onto my neck. I'm currently typing with an cold compressor pack thing on my face. sobs. Not good at all. I went to work today with a cap on and my scarf shielding my face completely (only my eyes showed). I wish i took a picture of the bus driver man's face when i first got on the bus. It was so priceless because his face expression changed so fast in matters of seconds!! I'm sure he was scared (that i might bomb the bus), curious (what is this girl trying to hide) and freaked (because i might also be carrying the H1N1 virus). I think i'm gonna dress the same way tmr night, i hope i don't scare people at Nuit Blanche.

Next! A large congrats to S on her engagement!!!!! I'm glad shes allowing me the great pleasure to help you create your engagement dinner invites and letting me use my "expertise" in finding you a printer lol that is indeed what i am good for. Four years of GCM is NOT going to waste!!!! Weddings + Printing = Me, a Happy Panda. Yay! She's my first friend that's getting married, and alrwdy, its so so different from a RELATIVE getting married. K and i are having a blast already with our bbm pre-proposal, post-proposal and pre-wedding chats. haha <3 Cannot wait for the engagement dinnnah coming up very soooon.

On other side notes, i was reading up on some gossip-related news and found out that the show, Jon and Kate plus 8 will no longer be called that but changing to "Kate plus Eight". Hmmm. How very weird. I wonder are they going to make the kids say "NOW HERE'S A NEW EPISODE OF KATE PLUS EIGHT"......i can imagine it being awkward already since typing it was already pretty strange lol that would be pretty sad if they said that. I'm sure the babies will question where did daddy Jon go and then grow up blaming themselves for their daddy's departure when its really daddy douchebag's fault and i'm not going to get into that heh.

AND AND on Gossip Girl, they announced recently that Kevin Zegers is going to be on a "cycle" of episodes. To those who don't know who he is, he's this really hot guy who looks like Chase Crawford and Leonardo DiCaprio (the titanic days) combined into one. I am tres tres excited that such delicious eye candy will be joining an already exciting cast. HHEHEHE

Ok i wanted to a lot type more but my face is irritating me so must stop here and probably head to bed

again, excuse the broken english. i really should put more effort into my typing.

In the near future i foresee:
    - a trip to the dermatologist
    - an engagement dinner @ baton rouge
    - a pedicure date with C @ 10spot
    - a rush at work
    - more time spent at the gym
    - a movie (maybe), dinner, starbucks session with the boys
    - 30month anniversary with the mister
