The most important thing I realized is that painful breakups, unrequited love, shitty jobs and the like help us to BUILD CHARACTER and that no matter how bad it feels, we are much better off because of it. Sometimes you have to stand alone to make sure you can. Forget what you want to remember what you deserve. You may not end up where you thought you'd be, but you'll always end up where you were meant to be. You can either let these bad things, define you, destroy you or strengthen you. Fight through it like a warrior. Greater things are to come.

i am a wizard not a baboon brandishing a stick bitch

WARNING - INTENSIVE HEAVY, WORD VOMIT OF HARRY POTTER-NESS KIND OF ENTRY WITH A MILLION PICTURES. YOU MIGHT WANT TO SKIP THIS ENTRY TOO IF YOU WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

I just came home from watching the movie and I am still in disbelief that the movies are actually (and finally) done. This last Harry Potter film was.....unbelievable. Even though the story ended 4 years ago, i felt like I still had the movies to look forward to. But now, the magic really did end tonight for me and the millions of childhoods. A whole generation saying good bye.

I thought the movie REALLY did the last book justice. I waited 5 years, to see the great Hogwarts Battle. 10 years to see R&H finally hooking it up, 5 years to see that duel scene between M&B. To have all that visualized for you on screen is indescribable, and for it to be just as amazing as you imagined it in your head?!?! Again, indescribable.

To also grow up with the actors and actresses that plays the characters is also pretty amazing. Look at the change and transitions, visual:

sheeeesh. look at how HANDSOME they look now.

They were SOOO cute and tiny.

Part i cried the MOST

and

The Snape character was given proper justice in the movie. I think for his scene, i cried the hardest. Probably the hardest ive cried for ANY movie. Its right up there with the Notebook, beating out UP.

And of course, the trio- whom i will miss terribly

Turds.

# # #

Plus not enough emphasis on Ron who's the dorkiest boy in the world.

# # #

“The stories we love best do live in us forever, and whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you forever.”
— JK Rowling.

I know that, its very hard for a lot of people to comprehend why and how this is such a significant. But its very emotional. Something that you have loved for 10 years (hey, longer than ANY relationship ive had with anything/anyone) its not that easy to see it end!!! If you think of it from OUR perspective, we find it very hard to understand why YOU GUYS, don't see the emotional attachment. Someone tweeted:

"lol @ people who have an emotional relationship with the Harry Potter films. They are good, but no need to cry that they are over."

FIRST OFF, i unfollowed that person that said that. Second, well, imagine me saying "Hey, your pet (insert animal here) was good to you too but no need to cry when she/he dies." to you.

..........

Yeah harsh right? That's exactly how we, as HP fans feel when you guys say that to us. It's actually a little hurtful, for me anyways. We don't expect you to understand because it IS difficult to understand but don't make it seem like its a joke (okay so i joke all the time about being a wizard and that there's such thing as *magic*, that's just me being difficult and being a clown haha) and that we are just blowing it out of proportions. Life as it is, is unbelievably difficult and brutal, this for us is just a lil bit of magic that we found. Plus, give it a little credit for its millions of supporters- its gotta fucking mean something right? I hate to compare (and believe me i am able to compare because i am just as hardcore with this series) but being disgustingly OBSESSED with Twilight (the movies) is VERY different from being obsessed with Harry Potter.

Something that’s worth so much in my life, that IS my life actually, has come to an end. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been part of this since its started. i stayed til the very end, the love for it isn't going to fade and i'm proud to be your friendly HP geek.

Life feels that little bit more emptier now. But thanks to all my friends who's been putting it up with this many years. Thanks to twin that got me started and shared the same love for HP with me all this time.

That's the end of this generation for me~

PS. Forgive the awful.....grammar, sentence fragments and unorganized thoughts. Its late and i'm still a bit overwhelmed.

a hearty long read

ROFL SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!! ANDDDDD, as someone said- If the Nat and Mila made a movie, it'd be "Black Swan II" HAHAH IRONYYYY

Anyways.

Hello everyone. I know that i've been totally MIA. I promised a blog post. I promised to keep up with my photo challenge but i've failed and i'm sorry. There's just been SOOO much going on and i feel like i have no time to do anything (aside from gymming. Seems like im there a lot eh).

Primarily im preoccupied with four things: Work (Freelance & Job Interviews), Arsenal Asia Tour & Transfer News, Comic Con planning and everything else that i will lump into MISCELLANEOUS.Thought i should do a quick rant while BLOG MODE is still on.

1. Work (Freelance & Job Interviews)

Before i head out to SanDiego, i really needed to finish up revisions if i want to be paid. Also, i've spent the past few days working on a design practical as part of a hiring process for another job interview that i got for ANOTHER company. Shit, doesn't it feel like something i've said before??? And to add onto that, about an hour ago i received a phone call to arrange a prelim phone interview with a second company this coming friday. This is getting a bit fucking ridiculous. Every time it SEEMS like i am getting close to a hire......something happens but NO FEAR, i have (yet) ANOTHER prospect lined-up. Clearly, im doing something right with my job-applying and its also very clear that its something that i am not doing or doing wrong during the final round of the interview process. I mean, i made it through first of all of them, you'd THINK i was doing something right. Apparently not. Ugh. #FML.

Wish me good luck though nonetheless! I gotta start prepping for it after finishing typing this up. Don't forget to send those prayers this way!!!!

2. Arsenal Asia Tour & Transfer News

You people will PROBABLY think this is silly. But no, this is not a laughing matter nor a matter to be taken lightly. Currently my team are in Malaysia and will be traveling to CHINA to play some friendlies with the teams there. Every day i busy myself with tweetpics and tweets of how theyre doing in asia and as well concerning myself with new players who might be joining the team and those who are leaving. It's extremely overwhelming and ive expressed this to people re: how its been effecting my mood. Twitter lately hasn't been a very good place to be lately for fans like myself. But seriously though, this consumes my life.

3. Comic-Con

Indeed we are in the final countdown days until i head to San Diego!!!! Not only are there up-to-date news almost every hour for me to stay on top of, there's also the scheduling that I am SO STRESSED OUT about. Its not even FUNNY how much i have to plan for.

Just to clarify what goes on at the convention. The San Diego Comic-Con (or #SDCC) is not just an enormous party where the participants are geeks, nerds and wizards. We don't just go there to read/buy/trade comic books, to dress-up, to get autographs from comic writers and illustrators and to have jedi, telekinesis mind-sex with the opposite sex. Sure all that STILL happens (ha ha) but there's more to it including something call PANELS. Panels are basically seminars/talks/presentations. It can be anything from: Obsession: How TV and Movies Go from Fascination to Phenomenon? to Oh, You Sexy Geek! to The Vampire Diaries Screening and Q&A.

In the recent years, the TV and Movie industry caught on, on this wicked-ass gathering and decided to use this event as a method of marketing whatever they wish to promote. So tv shows such as, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Dexter, Bones, Chuck, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Family Guy, Futurama, Big Bang Theory et more, were/are all present. CAST INCLUDED. In the past, movie previews inclded Alice in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes, all the obvious superhero movies (X-Men, Ironman, Spiderman, Thor, etc), Tron, Twilight, Harry Potter, again, all present with the cast.

Overall its really just a huge event for geeks to unite. And lots of free swag.

Now that i've kind of explained comic con, Visual:

Yes, that is the schedule for the panels (which ive obviously shrunk to emphasize all the material im drowning in) that are available for the 3 days i am there (the convention is 4 days but im leaving that Sunday afternoon) and myyyyy task right now is to PLOW THROUGH THEM. Deciding what i REALLY want to see, what are my backups and of course, factoring in WAITING TIME for the bigger stuff i want to see. i.e. The Big Bang Theory panel which is currently more popular than the TWILIGHT panel #GEEKSUNITE.

i, repeat. i am SO stressed.

4. MISCELLANEOUS

And behold, the things i need to do and the faces i must see!
  • Gym- I've been going at it pretty hardcore for the past 2 weeks. Doing two-three hour sessions, 4.5-6 times a week. Another thing that i've brought up amongst friends, is how unhappy i still am with the way i look. I'm unhappy because I know i can do better, i can look better than this. Why should i settle when i know that i am capable of achieving my ideal physique? That's what i tell myself anyways. Its a good thing that i love food way too much because I'm starting to sound like a Bulimic.

  • Going out. Seeing people - No surprises here. There's peoples faces i want to see, birthdays to celebrate, catch-up that must occur. Enough said, those take up time. Not a complaint though.

  • HARRY POTTER COUNTDOWN- The time has come. After ELEVEN years, it is FINALLY coming to an end, the Harry Potter movies. I have my tickets ready for Friday, I am ready to bawl my fucking eyes out, I am ready to say good bye to my childhood with twin beside me. It is going to be disgustingly epic. I'm going to type up a Harry Potter-related entry soon to commemorate friday. Await.

and just like that I ACTUALLY BLOGGED SOMETHING.

Nerd Rant- LAST ONE!

Transformers 3 newest trailer

Now, THIS, looks a WHOLE LOT more promising than the previous one.
At the very least, i get to see optimus prime do his fighting thing in this one.

OK DONE WITH THE GEEK RANT!!!!!!

Huge Nerd Rant

This is a huge, long, COMICS related rant. If you don't understand nor have an interest in nerd talk, it would be wise to just skip it in its entirety.

X-Men: First Class Official Theatre trailer #2

Out of all the Marvel comics, i gotta say that X-Men is my absolute favorite. It's probably the series that I know most about next to Spiderman and also the first Marvel series that got me hooked on comics. Thus no matter what i WILL be biased and enjoy every film created for this series- regardless of how much they changed up the story and fuks it up. Me. Will. Lurve. (Cyclops). haha. As for this movie, i already know that they've messed up the storyline big time already but i still think its going to be pretty epic. Besides, i'm a huge James McAvoy fan. Him playing Charles Xavier makes Charles Xavier (the character) that much more badass.

Absolutely cannot wait. Two weeks-ish i believe????

Thor
Like all previous comic-related, action movies that no girls are interested (or understand) in seeing and/or movies that have lots to think about/discuss- the boys are the ones i turn to for that. We watched Thor in 3D (because Shadow read reviews that it would be OH-THAT-MUCH better) and i was pretty damn surprised on how good it was. When the initial screen caps for this movie was released last year at Comic Con- i had my reservations on this movie. I mean, just like every other movie before- it's "just" another Marvel comic-to-movie and on top of that, the Thor series never really appealed to me. It was way too mythical for my liking. That said, again- GREAT MOVIE. Even for non-nerds.
  • I thought the special "effects" were brilliant and just enough (it was not overdone at all).
    • The Mjolnir (or the "Hammer") "fight" scenes were SOOO wicked. Omg. Don't judge a hammer. It can fucken blast you away.
    • The "fighting" scenes in general were awesome.
  • Natalie Portman was a bit of a waste of film space. Her character (in the comics) was significant, but not enough for the movie.
  • Sif is HAWT. Her weapon is HAWT. Her fighting is HAWT. HAWT!!! (She was the only she-warrior on the team. THE MOST FIERCE).
  • The scenes that linked back to Iron Man II. [[ S.H.I.E.L.D ]]
  • All the "Avengers" previews/teasers/references. EXCITEMENTTTTT
    • I.e. Hawkeye's appearance. holey, i almost jizzed my pants seeing him with his bow and arrow.
    • The "secret" teaser clip after the credits. Clearly we know who's going to be the villain in the avengers movie now. (Loves).
  •  Thor (Chris Hemsworth) was pretty cute. I especially liked him when he acted all gentleman like. That said though, i was more into his sleazy, greasy, dark-haired, pale, doesnt-get-much sun, evil brother, Loki. Don't ask why. There was something very intriguing about his not so good looking face but oh-so-happening sorcery. I do have a thing for magic and wizards. Heh. (refer to Harry Potter obsession please)

Other Superhero movies coming
  • The Avengers
*NERD SCREAM*. Thor's definitely back (for all you Chris Hemworth fans!!). Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr. aka one of the most perfect man in hollywood), Captain America (Chris Evans aka HOT), Hulk (errrr i just like his character). The movie just screams epicness even if the plot is shitttttttttttttttt.
  • Captain America in 3D|Chris Evans (the actor playing him) is sexy. Enough said. I personally don't like the Captain America series but hey, its marvel and sexy guy is playing that role. No loss.
  • Green Lantern
It's the one with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Ahhhh it looks disgustingly CG-ed and its DC (im sure by now its obvious i perfer Marvel over DC)....but i'm curious about how its going to turn out. I do love hearing him say his oath though. It's sexy.
i heard they're going to be making a Wonder Woman? Which i think is a stupid, stupid idea. And probably have a Justice League movie which is lameo because i think the Avengers can kick the Justice League any day. Just saying.

Comic-Con
BWAHAHHA 62 days i believe?

On a less geeky note- guess who got called back for a Round 2 for that dream job?

TEEE SHIRT WEATHER

OK. HERE IT IS. UPDATE UPDATE.

[ The weekend is done again and i know i promised/sorta, an entry yesterday but i got lazy and procrastinated and the next thing you know its 1230am and i need to sleep to get up for 7am, for a 9am game at the pub. My apologies, sleep was definitely priority seeing i did not get much of it from the past weeeeek. ] <- As you can see i wrote this YESTERDAY. I was not lying.

So from my previous couple of entries, you kind of get the idea that i was so exhausted to a point of insanity. To recap, i had an interview with a really awesome company for a position that's pretty much "tailored" for me. I really did NOT think i had a chance even though i fit the description of the type of person they are looking for. Reason being is that i responded to it from seeing a posting on Monster and everybody knows, how many hits Monster gets- especially for design jobs. Anyways, didn't think i would be called back but they did. The catch here was that they called a day AFTER i took my laptop in for servicing. They listed a lot of specific things they wanted me to bring in as portfolio pieces and being the big fukken dumbass that i am- i have none of that backed up. It was ALL on that laptop that is in servicing, that won't be available for me until 2 weeks later. Thankfully after a rant with the cousin after i read the call-back e-mail, i somewhat formulated a game plan which was pretttttttttttty much to RECREATE several pieces and create a kick ass presentation. I had about 4.5 days to do all that. Even though it sounds like a lot of time, it actually wasn't. During those couple of days even though i managed to get in 6 hours of sleep, it was extremely mentally exhausting because i would get up at 8am to start working at it and literally grind at it until 2 am. I did 7 hour starbucks session, i also somehow managed to fit in an hour or two at the gym and obvs my downtime which included eating/crapping/showering.....QUICKLY. There were many, MANY instances where i started to doubt myself and wondered whether I was being a little bit too ambitious with what I was trying to achieve for this interview. At the end though, i ACTUALLY finished on schedule (surprisingly) and i personally thought i did an amazing job given the amount of time i had and the shitty slow old laptop i was using.

For anyone that cares- the interview went amazing. I hope i dont jinx myself by saying this but i am SO confident that i made the short-list for round 2. Okay maybe i shouldnt have said that because now i dont feel so confident no more after i typed it out. ah fakerys.

Moving on.

The other evening was also the night of the advanced screening of Something Borrowed that i won tix to (remember?!?!). The movie itself was absolutely fantastic. I LOVED it. Every minute. I loved it so so much i'm actually going to watch it again with K this week. As mentioned before, i am so in love with John Krasinski. After watching the movie i am even MORE in love with him. It is definitely time to download all seasons of the Office. And of course at the end of the movie, C and I managed to take a picture with the main actor. I'm totally taking this experience as practice to when i actually meet one of my Arsenal boys and i won't fan girl the fuck out in front of them. Thumbs Up and Big Grins.

Now, some quick point-form thoughts-
  • E.I - So i've been informed that i will be not receiving employment insurance benefits as i thought i would be. This kind of spoils the summer in a way where i won't be able to patio as much, go out as much, go on certain camping trips and road trips, and obvs no new summer wardrobe. That said im hoping, hoping to be hired sooooon because i can't support this lifestyle of mine for very long on the savings i have. Wish me good luck kiddies.
  • Beastmode- Since i'm unemployed and the gym is STILL taking money from my acct every month, i'm trying really hard to get fit and down to how i was last summer. I discovered the other week that i actually gained TEN pounds since December. Very, VERY bad. So beast mode totally on. That said, i think i am in the best shape i've ever been (not as good as last summer but close enough) health-wise. Like i've said many times before, i'm fueled by negative energy when i work out. Hence why i look like i am going to kill someone when im at the gym. I don't like people being in my way. I think that's the competitive nature side of me. I'm quite a competitive and jealous person by nature.
  • HARRY POTTER- Had to add this. The trailer for the 2nd part of the 7th book aka 8th movie came out and as always- EPIC. EFFING EPIC. Watch watch watch.
  • Osama Bin Laden's Death- For everyone's whos celebrating, i dont really think there's that much to celebrate for. I mean, even though the man is dead- his ideas and legacy isn't. And my thought was confirmed when Al Queda sent out that "chilling threat" on their website. Something along the lines of "Americans blood will mingle with our tears.....his death will be a curse to you americans and your agents......" x lovely. now they're upset. Definitely not something worth celebrating over, no?
Ok i've delayed with other work and posting this long enough.

Sorry kids if ive become boring.

Something Borrowed

About a month ago, the trailer for this novel "Something Borrowed" was released. My first impression of the trailer/movie was that its a pretty cute chick romance flick and probably WILL end up seeing it just because. The thing is that i've never read the book despite it being the top book to read on every girls list and been out for so long. Most of the girls aren't surprised that I haven't read it because "chick" novels are not exactly my think whereas i prefer mysteries, drama and erm, wizards/vampires/teenagers killing each other (i lump them all in one category because everyone does lol) haha. So i had no plans of reading it whatsoever and will depend heavily on the critique of girlfriends whom has and will allow them to point out to me how faithful the movie was to the book. Something i was completely fine with.

Until this:

I won advance screening tickets (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to the movie through a blog contest that C told me to enter. I entered it not expecting to win (because i don't ever win anything) and the next thing you know i get an e-mail telling me i wonnnnnnnn. I really did not expect this advance screening to be much. I mean its shown two days before release night, how special can it be right? Ha. So it appears to be a tad more special than that because (as you can see in the above pic) the actor who plays Dex (the main guy in the novel) will be making a special appearanceeeeeeeeee. Bwhahaha. I totally experienced a fan girl moment when i saw that line of text in red and bold. Oh em geeeeeee. The guy is a GORGEOUS 38 year old. This means i must straighten the hair fo shuree now haha. and maybe wear a dress.

On another note- i did finish the book and fak it was GOOOOD. The way it was written is similar to Sex and the City, and everyone knows Sex and the City to me is a visual bible. Anything Carrie Bradshaw says is golden and sacred. Thus, this book is pretty effing awesome too.
Quick plot summary:
The novel centers around the protagonist and narrator, Rachel White, a thirty-year-old single woman who is a consummate good-girl. She and Darcy Rhone have been best friends since childhood, and hard-working Rachel is often in the shadow of flashy, sometimes ALWAYS selfish Darcy. Then, after a night of drinking on Rachel's thirtieth birthday, she sleeps with Darcy's fiance, Dex. After this turns into an affair, Rachel explores the meaning of friendship, true love, and ethics. - Courtesy of WIKIPEDIA.

Right, so I can relate to it in several aspects.

One
the whole 30 year old and single thing. I so see that happening to me and its going to suck ox balls. In the novel, the protagonist talked about how every girl dreams to be a 20s bride and have that beautiful family and house with the white fence around it by 30. But shit happens and the next thing you know, you're 28 and starting to freak the shit out until you actually hit 30 and that's when botox and lavalife commercials seems intriguing. Its really not that glamorous to be successful but single. Sure you can afford 14 dollar Caesars and bone a different guy every night but the party lifestyle can get tiresome. I would know, i've been living that lifestyle (being unemployed but having a sufficient income from the government) for almost a year now and i'm only twenty four. (Note: not saying i bone a different guy every night HA). I digress. So in the novel she's hit 30 and she's single. It sucks. That is- until she bones the guy shes been in love with for 7 years aka her bff's fiancee.
Two
being cheated on. Another thing that sucks ox (or maybe buffalo) balls. Being cheated on is perhaps the worst thing in the world. The feeling of betrayal is so overwhelming and suffocating that adjectives just doesn't cut it. Which is why i am completely unsure on whether i agree with the main protagonist having an affair with her bff's boyfriend. No matter how much i hate the bff (whoms a major bitch id cut), it's just not cools. Its hard to judge because the plot is so much more complicated but at the end of the day, cheating is wrong. I strongly believe in Karma and how it can and will sneak up on you and bite you in the ass and you will have no one to blame but yourself. I'm tres cynical aren't i.
Three being the plain jane in the group. I don't care what anyone says- i have always been the larger, taller, bigger, uncooler one. I know what it feels like to live in the shadows. I know what it feels like when the guy likes your best friend and not you, or they they're talking to you just so you can be the wingman for them and one of your girls. Been there, done that. Maybe that's why I choose to live a certain lifestyle, just so i can be more special. Nobody likes dorks anyways when you can have a pretty fun girl. The type of guys i like anyways. HA. I DIGRESS AGAIN. I feel myself going emo again lol.

SO YES. FANTASTIC BOOK. Starting the 2nd book now. Hopefully its just as good. I heard that one of the characters i liked in the first book will have a bigger role in the second one. I am talking about Ethan, if anyone cares.

THAT SAID.

The dude with the arrow beside him is John Krasinski, and he's playing the character whom i am currently in live with (Ethan). I'm not sure why John Krasinski is part of the "main cast" because he doesn't really play that big of a role in the novel (not so sure about the 2nd book though) but HEY. I'M NOT COMPLAINING because i am IN LOVEEEEEE with him. I've come to a conclusion (this may change after reading the 2nd book) that if i was to marry a Caucasian guy, it would be a guy with a personality like the dude in the novel and looks like him.

Yeahhhhh. Geeky and wholesome as apple pie. So my cup of tea.

Holey, i just realized i typed up an ESSAY. I really did NOT meant it to be that way. I also didn't mean it to be so damn emo either. I guess enjoy the read because it was totally accidental.

Wings and beer w/ some good company tmr evening. Paper shopping et Beastmode avec zee cousin first though. I will potentially be doing something extremely brave tomorrow. Will blog about it when it happens.

outz.

White Mocha Americano Misto - ORDER. ITS GOOD.

Yesterday i woke up from what i think was only 6 hour of sleep (in which i was certain i woke up to puke once but it was very fuzzy)  and decided that i was going to go work out! With a hangover! Good thing i did because it was a really great workout and i didn't really feel my hangover until the abs track where i got a crazy nauseous, head rush when laying on my mat. I guess i didn't combat it away after all. Anyways, it was BEAUTIFUL outside today and I decided to nurse my hangover outdoors instead of staying in. I knew it was nice, but i didn't know that it was NINETEEN DEGREES NICE.

Thus began my journey downtown to the harbourfront to read. Yesh, i bussed my ass downtown to read at that man-made urban beach (HTO Park)

It was REALLY windy. I don't know why it was so shocking to me because it IS by the lake. Anyways, it was actually quite nice, where i sat. I had a starbucks, i had my book (now reading, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo...which is on hold now for me to finish Something Borrowed), my blackberry was away and ipod on. It was quite blissful for a good couple of hours sitting there and not really having a care in the world. When i look up the first thing i see is the water or sometimes there's a plane that flys by because Toronto Islands Airport is right there. I think this summer these solo trips will be frequent. I've gotten to enjoy spending time on my own- as lonely as that sounds.

Oh,

and i watched "Water for Elephants". The movie was surprisingly GOOD. Robert Pattinson....was....actually....a GOOD ACTOR!!! I KNOW, OMFGBBQ right??? I hope since he's a better actor now, he would be a really awesome Edward in the last twilight movie. I also was positively reminded of how hollywood handsome he is.

MMMM. YAR. I am totally up and all over the R.Patz alley again. Total fan-girl mode was on during the entire movie. No shame.

This was kind of a random post with no real purpose. Something for you guys to read i guess. Gotta start being productive this week. I had a good two weeks "off". Pressure on again.

Peace out.

10 day -you- challenge ; Films

  1. 500 Days of Summer
I loved every single thing about this movie. I even brought it on DVD......and for all your information i don't believe in buying DVDs when i can download them so that is saying A LOT. My 2nd actual legit DVD haha. I think what i truly loved about this movie is the realistic vs. expectations element they always play on. The movie highlighted and touched upon a lot of real relationships problems where no other "mainstream" romance comedy would bring up. One being feelings can change at any moment. There's no promise, no guarantee because nothing is constant except change, feelings included. In short, no fairytale endings bitches! It's sweet, playful, romantic and uberly tragic. Which is pretty much everything i love about a movie. Also Joseph Gordon Levitt is like my dream guy.

    Turdy, hot and romantic. Yums.

  2. The Notebook
From my last entry, i'm sure people have gotten the hint that i really dislike it when books are turned into a motion picture. Mainly because they always manage to fuk it up pretty badly. ESPECIALLY with Nicholas Sparks books. He has about i think 13 books or something. I've read about 6 of them which is a little less than half but nonetheless still a lot. That said i've also watched all the movies that are based on his books and they were alllll shit (especially A Walk to Remember. I am sorry to all those who are fans of the movie but the book made me bawl from like chapter 10 and on (there's like 20 chapters in the book) whereas i swear i just teared at the last ten.) That's until i watched the Notebook. My god is it accurate and for once, the movie was so much more sad than the book (which is VERY impressive for my standards). An absolute tear-jerker. I recommend it to all guys that want to impress a girl and still be able to enjoy it. I love the actor and actress, plot, the idea that even with time, distance and other people that enters your life, that one love you share with another person won't fade away. So optimistic and naive of me but if noah and allie can do it- EVERYONE has hopeeeeeee. Sorta. Unless you're me. Then you have no hope.
  3. Pearl Harbor/UP/Sex and the City (1)
For my third favorite movie, its a tie between Pearl Harbor, Disney & Pixar's UP and the first Sex and the City movie.
    • Pearl Harbor because i have always been interested in the events that took place prior and after the bombing of the harbor. It was just beautiful how they were able to incorporate a storyline with the history (very well done actually, according to my limited yet i would say good understanding of the pearl harbor attack). Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett is just an extra bonus treat for me. I also gotta add that i was completely smitten by the idea of a romantic plane ride with my future hunk towards the sunset, and preferably a proposal occurring afterwards. Since the only pilot i do know is J and i am definitely not marrying J (bahahha) so that one is crossed off my list. haha
    • Every single person whom i've talked to and has watched the movie UP, absolutely adored it. GUYS included!!!!! I think it was just a cute movie that everyone enjoyed because everyone is a big kid at heart. I've also never cried so much for a cartoon, so it gets credit for that lol
    • Lastly, the first Sex and the City movie. I thought it was absolutely amazing (as oppose to the 2nd movie). I loved it so much i even went to see it two more times after watching the midnight release (and i had work the next day!). For me personally, the idea of Big and Carrie finally being together is like a dream come true for any girl who is unable to be with the person whom is not necessarily the best for you, but you need to be with them because they're like a drug. Don't get me wrong though- i'm a Big and Carrie shipper....as oppose to EVERYONE i know who is an Aiden and Carrier shipper. lol It can also be because i am a devotee to the Sex and the City cult, the movie had that much more of an effect on me.

r u guys as impressed as i am that i am actually caught up with this challenge? heh.

A Reading Treat

i feel like i haven't blogged in SO long and its gotten to a point where i dont even know where i should start. i'm sorry. ive been so lazy and ive been out and abouts. Guilty as charged! My readers must be dropping like flies. Sobs. Please come back. I promise to update more!!!!! I am pretty disappointed in myself if that makes you guys come back. I will also try to be as entertaining as possible.

STATUS: Its currently 1110pm, and the weather in my room is COLD. My fingers are like icicles and im wearing a hoodie w/ the hood on. What happened to the "supposed" storm anyways? Oh and might i add- im hungee as a fat grizzly bear.

...............................

Okay that was a lame intro. Not at ALL up to my usual entertaining par. So here's something entertaining to read before i start.

It's an actual kijiji ad that u can see here: source or click on the pic for a screen shot.

It says: Wanted: Male
Hey, I'm Emma Finlayson. I'm 17 years old and am looking for a attractive male student (ages 16-18) who would be willing to accompany me to my prom for a couple of hours to take pictures and pose as my prom date. No, I am not a creeper. My friend and I are doing this to prove how stupid prom is, and also need someone to stand next to without looking weird. You can contact me from my email address. Price is flexible
P.S.- A hockey player or someone who likes hockey is preferred.

ROFL x NO COMMENT

ANYWAYS. ahhaha. Actual content now.

January totally flew by didn't it? I'm trying to remember what i did but my head is drawing a blank. I do know i did plenty though. And plenty of movies. Ohmygee i watched ALOT of movies in the past month. The Fighter (Worth Seeing, Christian Bale is hilarious), True Grit (I seriously dont know what the hype is with this movie. It has a 98% rating but i thought it was so shitty and i couldnt wait for the movie to end), Black Swan (Disturbing. Loved it), Tangled (Had zero expectations for this movie. Gotta say the "romantic" scene has gots to be by far the most romantic disney scene ever) & Blue Valentine (Tragic. Wouldn't have survived if i watched it 9 months ago).

Oh yes. I went snowboarding over the weekend @ Blue. And got totally trashed right after wards (as expected). It was totally epic because i actually did not even drink that much (comparatively to my past experiences....it seriously wasn't even much. i blame it ALL on the fact i didnt eat dinner....again) but got so trashed that everybody thought i was weak sauce and passed out at 1230am. UGH. Total fail.

On the subject of boarding though- J was extremely patient with me during the learning process (even though i was actually a lot shitter when he was around. go figure). M was even more patient with me. Even after i took her down with me 10 million times and wasted half her day on the Big Baby hill, she STILL stuck by me and held my hand the entire way. Note to self (NTS), I owe her a really awesome dinner. At the end of the day i think i did REALLY well in the 6 hours i had though. I completely skipped baby hill,  its moving carpet (lol) &&& the kids on the moving carpet and jumped immediately to the lifts- I think people ought to be proud of me. I was quite determined to learn it though- just for the sake that J is pro at this shit and well yeah, i suppose i gotta at least be able to balance myself to not embarrass him. sighs. I do wish i have the funds to do it again. I think if i am going to do it again though, it would be only to go with the cousin. Otherwise.....i am too poor b/c rentals is a bitch. And rentals hurt my toes. Sad face.

Prior to going boarding though- had a fabulous post-New Years (winterlicious) dinner with the boys. Over dinner, the boys and i have decided to go ahead with plans to head to San Diego for COMIC CON 2011. Not a whole lot of details on that except that its going to be in July, for about 5-6 days, celebrate Coco's birthday while being there and a whole shit load of blogging, exploring and 110% nerding it out!!!!!!!!!! Bahahah Going to be a trip of a life time if it works out. Crosses fingers.

So now. Present day February. It's Chinese New Years eve as of now. Its an hour since i started this entry and i am still not done (and i am still hungry). February is going to be a freakingggggg fast month (aside from the obvious fact that its shorten. duh).

Stuff im looking forward to this month
(half of which i copied and pasted from A because our schedule is the same)

  • The X and O Vday Partay
  • Vday
  • FIFA Friendlies! France vs Brazil + Spain, Holland, Germany, England..<3
  • UEFA Champions League - Arsenal vs. Barca (my teams!!!!!!! so torn)
  • WEMBLEY! Arsenal is going to Wembley for the Carling Cup final (!!!)
  • Family day weekend
  • Futbol WAG Evenings w/ A
  • One more Winterlicious Dinner

I actually cannot wait for March to come because of a certain FETE the cousin and lovely R are co-hosting once again. Ohmygod words cannot express the excitement i feel. Last year they held a Graffiti party and it was just insane. This year is going to be messier and bigger i swear.

STAY TUNED ALERT: I have a whole blog entry im ready to write about for Chinese New Year. That will be for tomorrow. Just saying.

Oh my god i just learnt (from facebook haha) that a friend is engaged. Wow. That's two couples i learned in one night that's newly engaged. and theyre MY age. Dot dot dot. Isn't that so lovely. !@#$

Moving on.

I was reading my cousins blog earlier in the evening re: beast mode, losing weight and all that fun stuff and i'm pretty much on the same boat as she is. If people haven't noticed, but i haven't been loading pictures on facebook. Whenever i don't, it pretty much means that i look like shit and i don't want to display how i look, as selfish as it may sound. During the summer, i can honestly say i was in the best shape i have ever been in my entire life. I did kickboxing twice a week, combated on average 3.5 times a week, attended kettle bell warm-ups twice, hot yoga once a week and weight training 2 or 3 times a week. I was extremely hardcore and it showed in my clothes sizes and pictures. Now i'm back to the fat panda i always have been and it has really put a toll on my self-esteem (that i had very little to begin with) and ive gotten into the "i-only-wear-black" phase because of this recent weight re-gain. I am hungry all the time, especially at night before i sleep and i find myself eating constantly because im sure my stomach has enlarged again therefore it needs that extra food to fill it. Rolls are coming out and my face is as large as a pancake that can feed 4. It really sucks balls but my current work situation and the weather is NOT making it very easy for me to lose that weight again. That said though, i KNOW i can lose it.....but i just like ranting about it. Hopefully the cousin and i can work towards that goal of ours and be damn fit again when the weather gets hotter.

Another side note- I am quite thankful that I have my cousin as my motivational partner when it comes to wanting to lead a more "healthier" lifestyle. Our goals are pretty much the same, our social lifestyle is pretty much the same (we both do enjoy a shot or six) also. In terms of exercising, i find that we both are into high intensity workout regimes. We don't like pilates, we don't like regular yoga or jogging. We both like extreme bootcamp-like shit and i find she is the only person that is able to keep that same high intensity pace up whereas others slow down after half an hour or after 4 man push-ups. I absolutely love that about her (amongst other things of course). I realllllly hope she knows what a tough cookie she is. She's tough and she motivates the shit out of me. I love her for that.

Last but not least.

I forgot how hard it is, to start something new. I completely forgot and i feel myself making the same mistakes again. I don't entirely understand why i allow this to happen again, it just keeps on happening. and here i am, thinking i am so boss of my situation and i won't let it happen again. But the truth is, at the end of the day i'm just going to be that same person that gives too much, expects too much. No matter how much game i speak of, who it is. Clearly i turned out liking you, a lot more than i originally planned.

Okay sleep time. Manager gaves me the day off tmr because of the Snowpocolypse that's FINALLY occurring.

Someone that took a pic of the storm DT and tweeted it as of 1:26am

Taking advantage of this by being productive, applying for jobs tomorrow morning, more blogging, figuring out which Arsenal jersey (finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!) i will be ordering while sipping on delish Korean Brown Rice Green tea, Forever nuts tea and chomping away on my Starbucks caramel macchiato biscottis that i purchased earlier tonight.

OUTS! Hope the read made up for the lack.

Love and Other Drugs

Just came home from watching this movie. I have to admit that i enjoyed it very much. It seems like every Jake movie that ive watched lately has been a hit. I have no idea why. I don't normally go out to watch his movies but the ones i have has been quite good. I wouldnt really like to say i liked the ending because i dont believe that someone can be that lucky. Its probably because i am bitter as hell but ur gonna hafta see it for yourself to know what i mean. lol I liked it more when it was all about the game in the beginning. Notice people, the moment she says I LOVE YOU to him. That's when it went DOWNHILLLLLL.Not good. Not defensive. Lesson right there.

ITS SNOWING mutha-effers

When people first wake up the "normal" thing to do is to go by the window to open the blinds or go to the washroom to sober up (from sleep....how i refer to it as lol). For me its to turn on the laptop to check facebook, tweetdeck, emails, blog tracker and tumblr dashboard. Anyways long boring unnecessary details short, i discovered that it was actually SNOWING....from facebook. UGHHH. UGHGHH. I look outside and in fact there was flurries swirling and the rooftops were glazed white. FAK MAN. Its not even the cousins birthday and its snowed already!

People, je ne suis pas content with snow and cold weather.

I digress.

So on Friday evening i (obviously) went to see Harry Potter 7 (Part 1) with twin. Most people would (and should) know that i have extremely high expectations and hated all the movies with the exception of the most recent one (#6- duh) where it was "entertaining" in a comedic way. That said i expected nothing from this movie except lots of shit talk on my part about how unfaithful it was to the book, the scenes were terrible and what not. We watch the 1030 show (after waiting for AN HOUR in line) and,

HAAAAA. To my shocking surprise, the movie was SO GOOD.

Holycrap. Hands down. The best out of all the movies. Finally in 10 years of doing this, Warner Brothers finally got it right!!!! There was a lot of comedic parts that made me laugh really hard, they chose key parts to react, and even though they made up a lot of the scenes/scenes not in reading order- it was brilliantly done in a way where it worked very well with the flow of the movie. God i am so impressed, i think people should REALLY give it a chance. Why not right?! It's the last movie in the franchise! So so looking forward to the 2nd part in July. Until then, i am definitely watching it again.

---

I spent the afternoon with two of the boys minus Albie. And they presented me with my belated present which turned out to be a CHEESE BASKET (with wine, mini baguettes and utilities to eat the cheese!!)

FYI. I LOVE CHEESE.

Hahah honestly, Chocolate should get into making gift baskets because he is so so GOOD at it lol The gift is SO uber fattening but i love love love!!! Can't wait to bring it over to annbugs so we can have some cheese and wine over intellectual, non-dirty conversations about futbol.

Now that the weekend is practically over. Must do work tonight.

fffound & wallstreet 2

An alarm clock that won't turn off until you stand on it.

Talk about being innovative.

Speaking of which i should sleep.

But before i do. Quick review.

Watched Wallstreet 2 tonight with C. It was quite an interesting movie. I can't say i loved it because to be honest I was a bit confused in terms of exactly what was going on with all the stocks trading and how the stock market worked etc. But i didn't hate it either that's for sure. I think i would have enjoyed it a lot more if i was into stocks and all that exciting stuff that makes investors/traders jizz their pants. I even watched the first Wallstreet movie (the 1987 one!!!!!!!!!!) to prep for this lol One thing i did enjoy very much was:
  • Shia LaBeouf
  • Shia LaBeouf and his on-screen chemistry with Carey Mulligan
    • He was so sweeeeet in the movie. Id bet he's like that off screen too!!!
  • Shia LaBeouf's condo
    • If anybody has/will watch it, god the interior is so awesome. It looks like the type of place i would have.
  • Shia LaBeouf in a suit
  • Shia LaBeouf in average-day wear
    • Cardigan and sneakers.....but he somehow made it hot average-day wear. That purple cardigan-that-would-have-looked-so-homo-on-most-guys he wore at the end was so unbelievably hot. Over a LILAC colored button up. It sounds so homo but he looked greatttttttttttttt. Tony the Tiger style.
Mike Douglas was pretty cool too. haha He will always be sleazy Gordon Gekko. haha But Shia LaBeouf was my star tonight.

Mmmmmm yeah. Definitely pulled off the WallStreet look magnificently.

I actually do not like motorcycles very much. I think they are reckless and the riders asking for a wild and quick death. Until tonight. HAAAA. My opinion TOTALLY changed after watching this movie. It was SOO uber sexy seeing Shia LaBeouf ride in his wallstreet gett-up underneath his leather jacket, expensive leather messenger bag on the side and girlfriend sitting behind him zooming through the busy streets of NYC. UGH. Hotness. I mean, i GUESSSS i wasssss a tad bit SILLY thinking something so sexy can be so reckless right?

They're also a super cute couple off screen!!! They seem so down-to-earth. Sighs. Sweetness galore.

OKAY. I'm done with my Wallstreet 2 movie-review-that-turned-into-a-Shia-LaBeouf-you-are-hot rant. IM OUTS.

Attack of the Hambugers

AN UPDATE.

FINALLY.

I know. I'm sorry. I have been so so lazy especially today for some reason. I even missed my 1215 combat class because i didn't get up in time to be productive.

Anyhoo. Plenty to rant about, plenty for youS to read. I actually blogged abouts several things since last Wednesday but have been totally putting it off because i've been pretty busy. Life is definitely moving forward with many things happening and i'm pretty content with the many "things" i have to tend to.

So as far as my memory can take me..........
  • Met up with Jleung for dimsum and flying.
I remember when i use to get a little angry that he's always the 3rd wheel when i was with the prior-mister. Now thinking back, i feel uber guilty and ridiculous that i would get upset over something so trivial. I'm glad that we're still friends despite all that has happened. We went for dim sum at Pearl and it was the most expensive dim sum i've ever had (to date). God it was outrageous to pay 6 bucks for Hai Gow!!! Craziness. Even T&T sells it for only 2 bucks and to be honest it kinda tasted the same. I guess i'm paying for the view (which was very nice fyi). Of course during our brunch, he did his Quarterly Check-Up and Maintenance work on my BB. ^^ Patched it up and now its operating good as new!!! (With the exception of the ACCIDENT that almost costed me a bb which will be later discussed....) Then he spontaneously decides to take me on a city tour...IN THE AIR. Its like the coolest thing ever to have a friend that can operate a plane. We walked to the Toronto Islands Airport (the weather was soooo nice) and he did his thing and took us up. It was pretty cool. I've never seen J so serious at something because he's normally petty jokes and laid back lol It was a gooood experienceeeeee. Probably going to meet up again when he's back from HK and has me a solar-power device that can charge my BB!!! It was a pretty awesome day. I am glad i made that effort to meet up.

  • Jess's Farewell @ Spice Route.
I actually am not very fond of that restaurant but the lounge area turned to be a lot better than their dining area. J was completely plastered and i had a really good time even though we left a bit earlier. I got my buzz, i dressed up and (thought) i looked good, lots of camera whoring. We got tequila shots on the house (courtesy of the cousin and our sneaky ways), bottle (courtesy of the cousin's bf). It was a VERY pleasant night. I want picturesssss.

  • Bloor West Date with K and J
Met up with the girls for really good Hamburgers at Yellow Griffin Pub (they are famous for having 35 different types of burgers which includes a Peanut Butter and Jam one) over at the Bloor West end. The trip was also to check out a venue for her bday. The venue surprisingly looks extremely rustic (in a good way) and i'm surprised with how much i like it and the many things i can do to it to give K the best 25th bday a girl can have. Afterwards we went to Sweet Flour and baked a cookie that almost killed us 3 because of all the sugar and butter in one small pastry.....but personally i think its worth it because Salted Caramel is something worth dying for.
    • We watched the Vampires Suck movie
If people did not know what this movie was about, it's basically a movie poking at/making fun of Twilight
    • Yes. The movie poster TOTALLY says it all doesn't it. Being the devoted and loyal Twilight fan that i am, i felt i should watch it to see what people/non-fans feel about the franchise and what is there to make fun of since...i feel like....there IS nothing to make fun of.....haha I shouldn't be SO narrow-minded right? No. I SHOULD have been narrow minded and said NO to the movie because not even two minutes into the movie, i face palmed myself and then fell asleep about 40 minutes into the movie. It was a HUGE Twilight fan fail. Haha anyways i am glad J and K enjoyed the movie though. It would have been downright epic fail if they hated it too. lol
Thoughhhhhhh i gotta say, Ken Jeong was the highlight of the movie. This man is seriously the funniest moveable, talkable human being on the face of this earth. Even his face is funny looking. hahah i enjoyed HIS parts (that i did not miss when i was actually awake). HA HA FAIL.
The evening ended with us heading over to the Milestone Bar for apps and drinks. I love these two, i always such fun and relaxing girls day with them. <3
  • Job Interview Prep/Actual Interview with CI
Okay so this was pretty interesting. I received a posting for the position last Wednesday and this was seriously the first job posting (since the Disney Creative Intern post.....that i regretfully missed due to bigger issues i was dealing with at the time) in a very long time that caught my eye. That said under Junior's advice i aimed to get my CV into their inbox before Thursday. Unfortunately for me, the state my resume and CL was in, it was NOT ready to be sent to anybody. So in between gymming and going out to see people, i pulled 3am nights just for this particular position at my dream company. Sent it in with complete confidence (along with two other company postings) but to my horror, i noticed that the company posted an external post on Monster. Obviously they are going to get a zillion better CVs and mine is going to be lost in the pile.

To my surprise though, they actually called me back for a phone interview (that i have tweeted and somewhat mentioned before) that i felt like i completely bombed. Even more devastated now (then), i went ahead and did a personality index assessment that they requested and was basically not expecting a call back for a 2nd interview. I think i got really lucky because the day i was out with J, i received an e-mail request for a 2nd interview. This drove me into work mode and i began prepping my portfolio for the interview and even had to cancel my shopping date with C (i'm sorry again dear) because it took so much time to prepare and print.

My interview was yesterday and i hate to type it but i really don't think i got the job. I don't think the interviewer girl liked me, she did not seem impressed and last but not least, i did NOT do a good job of "marketing"/selling myself. I later learned in the elevator (as i was leaving) from someone who worked there that the interviewer is some big shot Marketer chick that won a prestigious award for being Marketer of the year or something similar to that (from the Canadian Marketing Association). You guys should have seen my face. It was seriously a big FML moment. If i knew that marketing myself would have been THAT crucial (yes i know that is important too but not your-chance-at-being-hired-ois-on-the-line important when your interviewer is apparently CANADIAN MARKETER OF THE YEAR), i would have worked on my "TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF" speech instead of the "WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR US" speech. ARGHH. FML.

I've wanted to work for this company since 3rd year (they offered a design competition and winner gets obviously the glory of winning but also an internship) and when i didn't "win" an internship with them, i was seriously crushed for weeks. I remember the boys taking me out for buffet lunches to cheer me up and it stung a lot when i saw whom i lost to (i hate that asshole) and the "design" i lost to. It sucked even more when the interviewer actually remembered the winner and brought his name up during the interview. SIGHS. It was like reopening a wound....IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERVIEW. I don't know whether l'll be able to handle another rejection from them. I think it might actually drive me into a emo frenzy crazy mode.

None the less tho, do pray for me. The position and the projects that the hired designer gets to work on sounds unbelievably amazing.

  • My BB Crisis
For the past couple of days i experienced one of the most devastating thing EVER- which was the ALMOST LOSS of my Blackberry. God it was soooo dreadful using a flip phone (who uses that anymore?!??!?). Basically my keyboard went crazy wonky and eventually just didn't even respond anymore. What happened was i knocked over a cup of ice water and it spilled on the BB. On TOP of that. I do have a habit of bringing it in the showers to talk to Twin (hey she does it TOOO) so there was already moisture damage.....the cup of water just pushed it over the edge that's all. Anyways so here i am trying to repair it and freaking out on Jleung. I was told by him (and a number of others too) to put it into a bucket of rice for 3-5 days and it should be okay? Since when was this a remedy?!?! I am SO out of the loop. I was pretty skeptical but i had nothing to lose since it felt like i lost a part of my life already. Still, i was left with nothing but a freaking flipphone- no net, no email, no pinning, no QWERTY keyboard. Sobs. Thnx the lord, A was able to grab me a Pearl from work. I survived on a downgraded Pearl for THREE days. It was torture. Absolute torture.

But this story has a happy ending because i took it outta the rice box yesterday and IT ACTUALLY WORKS.

PRAISE THE LORD FOR INVENTING THIS THING CALL RICE.

holyshiet who knew that it was going to work!?!?? wow. This method totally saved me a couple of hundred (that i can spend ELSEWHERE giggle giggle) from buying a replacement phone (A White BB Bold to be specific.....that i am still going to get eventually......).

I swear i am going to treat it with care and more love then before.

Random jots of thoughts:
  • Borrowed two seasons of the Office. Will start that soon!
  • The cousin and bf is in Vancouver. I hope they're having a blast. I'm very envious.
  • This appears to be the Year of the Breakups. Add on three more recent ones. This year is cursed. I am telling all you people who are still in relationships. It might be you guys next...........not to be cynical or anything.
  • Oh yes, i FINALLY booked my G2 road test. Let's hope i pass it and not be the last 23 year old in Toronto that doesn't have their g2!!!!!
  • TIFF is about to start in a couple of weeks.
    • Celebrities to stalk for: RYAN GOSLING, Josh Hartnett, James Franco, Ryan Reynolds, Penn Badgley, Jackson Rathbone. Only chick i care enough to stalk: Blake Lively. haahaaa.
  • I need to load more pictures on facebook.
  • THISSSS close to buying a Real Madrid No.8 (Kaka) Soccer Jersey.....GAHHH. Temptation.
    • Soccer Jerseys are SO uber comfortable to wear after a nice long workout. The material glides on your skin.....in a very erotic and comfortable way.
  • My mom just said i'm fat again. The funniest thing was that she thought i was skinner when i was still dating the prior-mister. Like i said, i thought that was the FUNNIEST thing in the world.....because i feel like i'm at my skinniest/fittest right now. Of course this was before i downed half that bag of Doritos. Face Palm.
  • I sense that my ipod's expiration day is coming. It is fighting for its life every single day i use it.
  • LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN PORE STRIPS HERE
    • Michelle Phan is such a goddess. It actually works. I would know. I tried it earlier today.
  • I'm actually REALLY sick of hamburgers (hence the entry title). I've been eating at least ONE every week since summer started. During camping it was literally what i had 3 days in a row. At home my parents LOVES grilling burgers because they want to make good use of our BBQ and i go out and i eat hugeeee cowburgers with people. I think if i eat another burger l'll freaking punch myself in the face.
  • I have a list of shit i'm planning on buying in Buffalo. It includes things like RAINBOOTS, UGGS (both of which i was NOT allowed to buy when i was taken) and GYM CLOTHES.
  • I also need a camera. My dad always lectures me whenever i borrow his.
  • READ: China Traffic Jam can last weeks. LINK
  • To Do: Continue to apply for jobs, continue to work out, continue to drive, buy tickets for TIFF, plan K's Birthday with J, continue w/ side jobs, eat less, drink for the buzz, not the hangover.

OKAY. I AM DONE. THAT TOOK ONLY 2.5 HOURS!!!

NOW.

To do work.

Inception & More

ENTRY NOT COMPLETE. COME BACK FOR ADD-ONs to the ending of this entry.... tomorrow. I just want to let the Monday morning readers to have something to read at work tomorrow morning haha. See how considerate i am.

-----------

Here goes my super machine-gun-typing blogging tendencies. This is going to be long.

You've been warned.

I went into the movie Inception completely misled by A regarding what the movie was about. I knew that the movie was about Leo having the ability to go into other people's dreams to steal information. The part i was misled though was that i was told that he was going to go into a psychopath's dream thus the drama and scary stuff is suppose to happen. As i was explaining to the boys after the movie, i was waiting for clowns with knives to jump out any second to attack Leo but that certainly did NOT happen. Argh. lol I also did not watch ANY trailers of this movie so i walked into the theater with no knowledge of what to expect aside from the little preview synopsis i read.

The movie was pretty amazing. As i said in one of my last entries, I could relate to it in its entirety. Behind all the crazy, exciting suspenseful scenes with the sexy Leonardo DiCaprio and super hot Joseph-Gordon Levitt (who i am now terribly in love with now), the movie is about exploring your subconscious. It is about understanding the undeniable power we have to manage our subconscious. This is one part i can relate to. For as long as I can remember, i have always felt a connection with my dreams and also my interest in dreams is no surprise to anyone that comes by this blog and to those who has known me since Junior High (remember my Speech Arts topic on Decoding Dreams??? That ALMOST won me an award??haha) would remember me being really into the whole Astrology/Dreams thing. I also remember my mom telling me that when I was younger i would describe my dreams to her in perfect detail and she would be a little freaked out especially when I was sick (I was sick very often as a kid) because my dreams became a tad bit strange whenever I was burning up or something. I guess because I've been so in-tuned with my dreams that over the years I have successfully managed to train my mind to do a lot of things when "unconscious" i guess. This is part of the "power" that I am referring to up there ^. I now am successfully able to:

  • Remember all of my reoccurring dreams and its details
  • Details of dreams in general
  • Change the endings to my dreams
i would be able to wake up momentarily (i find myself to be inbetween the state of conscious and unconsciousness) and fall back asleep again to the same dream but change the ending depending on how i want it to end.
  • Continue where i end off in a dream if i was to be awaken suddenly
  • Fall asleep in my dream
It's quite weird but its definitely something i take pride in. I believe very deeply in decoding symbols and imagery in dreams because it is your subconscious's way of sending a message to the conscious mind which is why I do massive research/decoding on my dreams after I wake up. Even in the movie they said when we are conscious, only a fraction of our brain is working but when we are asleep our brain is pretty much on steroids and can process every minor detail that we overlook in our over complicating, busy lives.

A line from the movie stood out to me very much:

Never recreate from your memory. You won't be able to differentiate a dream from a memory...

Again, a personal relation to the line. A lot of my dreams are based on memories and the waking life. I find these to be the worst dreams to have, when its like you are watching a movie of your life- whether it be happy or sad, they hurt the most. Especially when you know it will always be a dream. My personal experience, i have been tortured by the same theme of dreams for a long time (ahhh 6-7 years? I still have them now). In the earlier years, those dreams caused insomnia and a lot of stress on myself. I would wake up with my pillowcase being soaked from crying in my sleep and would feel like I havn't slept because i would feel heavy from the sleep. I would then continue on to cursing my life and bitch about why God must take my only salvation (which was to sleep and forget about my pain but instead cause more pain by allowing me to dream certain things) away from me. I think it was when i finally confronted the situation 4 years ago, that now when i do have those type of dreams i am able to embrace that fantasy once more- which again will always just be a dream like so many other things now.

Yeah i know i am doing my vague-confusing-i-don't-know-what-you-are-referencing-to-rant again.

Another line from the movie:

I miss you more than I can bear, but we had our time together, and it was great. But now I must let you go.

I totally sobbed during that part when Leo said that (I hope the boys didn't notice). The movie was about 90% done and all the personal relations was really overwhelming lol The movie too, was about Leo confronting his past and his fears. There was also the reoccurring question- Can we live in a dream forever? If you can live in a dream forever, would you? It goes back to one's interpretation of what a perfect dream is.The movie ended in a way where its rather open-ended. I think the interpretation of  a person's "perfect dream" would differentiate their view of what the ending of movie really is.

OKAY. So in the midst of all that, IN CONCLUSION/BOTTOM LINE: Inception is one of the best movies i have ever watched. Do not be turned off by the reviews saying how confusing it is. Just go and watch, it will fall together into place at the end....sorta.

ANDDD i just HAD to throw that in because he is SO EFFNG HOT. I would like to sit on his lap.Fan please.

I hope you guys enjoyed that. Because there's more random thoughts coming up.

First off. My previous entry was very, very emo. That is not to say that I am emo though. Just, a little upset, hurt and that much more bitter and disappointed lol That said though; 我讀人的blog, 發覺自己其實很強. I guess i am actually in fact quite...strong(er) comparatively when it comes to handling my emotions now. I could be a lot worst but im not. I think people should give me a little bit more credit. Its a struggle every single effing day but i am soldiering it the best i can by doing two things. (1) 我逼自己不好想起你/我們的回憶. If that fails (2)我同自己說殘yun的真相 which is- 他以經忘了你, 他生活dut好好, 和大可能有第二個 x repeat. Breathe. Steady. And then l'll be good and go on with my day. It hurts a bit less each time after i tell myself that. I've been pretty awesome, if i would say so myself.

Okay next! I had my first Summerlicious with the GCM girls this weekend.

The food was terrible but as always, i love catching up with them. I would continue to blog. [ Actually i will be back tomorrow to add onto this ] but my head has started to hurt and its 2am.

I WILL BE BACK. I apologize for the bad bad grammer.
