Its 17 degrees today, 15 yesterday, 16 degrees for the next two days. Does this mean summer is coming at full speed!?!? (Probably not, flurries are expected next week. LAME.)

But this coming summer im expecting it to be explosive. Or at least i want to try to make it "productive" as much as i can. I'm really gonna try and make this summer count!! I'm starting it off by going to Cayo Coco, Cuba and hope in the middle of the summer head down to Jersey/NYC and possibly something else to end summer!?!?! Don't know yet lol. But the things I want to accomplish this spring/summer:

• Finish Room Reno
  Get the room painted, get the wardrobe in place and new bed sheets at the very least and I'll worry about decor and everything else later
• Portfolio Site, Twitter & Blog
  I really need to get my portfolio site up and going. Its so essential and is my "money" making tool yet I've completely put that last on my to-do list. I MUST get that up and going by June or July at the very latest. I can't enter a new season without being done. That said while I'm at it, give my twitter page and this blog a new look. That's always fun to do lol
• Business Card
  Can't skimp out on this (effort and money). Just tonight a random stranger the mister and i met at Starbucks and was interested in getting our contacts to potentially do contract work for him but it looked so bad because....WE HAD NO BUSINESS CARDS. SIGHSx.
  
• Bikini Body
  Well not so much a BIKINI bod because that's like impossible for my size but at the very least i really want to slim down and trim my pear-shaped body. I am approximately 8lbs away!!! I just have to keep on gymming 3-4 times a week, hot yoga and eat in moderation and i shall be good!!!
  
• Outdoors Paintball with the kids & Outdoor Volleyball with the kids
  Major negligence right there. I am guilty of all charges of not setting up something. I'm sorry guys.
  
• Movies i need to download *ahem* see
  Includes: Clash of the Titans, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, Iron Man 2, Robin Hood, Sex& the City 2, Avatar: Last Air Bender, Eclipse and Inception

Holyyyyshiet. Talk about growing up and filling in NICELY. Hard to believe its been 11 years since the first Harry Potter movie came out. I AM SO OLD. xxx!!!



Anyways i had quite an enjoyable weekend. I shopped til i dropped and stumbled into a Nail Salon on Saturday with K&J and then spent my evening at SB (my previous post details the fatty evening) and had a super fatty late night dinner at midnight. The mister took my family out for dimsum on Sunday morning and that's always nice because i think my parents really enjoy it. The day flies by with a super-long unplanned nap that goes into the evening and i FINALLY got around to wallpapering my closet doors (thnx u lx). I'm so proud of the way it looooooks. Yays. =]  I'm not loading any pics of it though, until more of my TO-DOs has been completed.

Oh i also got my shots for the trip. Shit who the hell knew it would cost SO MUCH to protect ourselves from Hepatitis???? Argh. Must pay again for Part II of the vaccination in 6 months.

Be Warned This is LONG

So here i am, a brand new year begins in the Chinese Lunar Calendar and i owe so many days worth of blogging to people whom has express their dislike in my lack-of posts and essentially laziness which cause them great inconvenience aka boredom. hahaha my bad =]

(I don't even know how i am going to do this because i have 2 entries saved up and about six other points of blog worthy things i wanna rant about.........yeah no idea. Its going to be maddd chopppy and tenses jumping all over the place.)

There's been so much shit happening with the TTC and they're virtually under the eyes (and cameras) of every rider. I actually wrote this entry up a couple of days ago but didn't publish it b/c it was half written. Then my cousin coincidentally wrote about the ttc too (Read here) and I was completely inspired to finish it because her thoughts on political and media issues are so welll written : )

Anyways i spend a major of my time on the internet (a commmon fact) and one day it was like the hit of a plague, the topics "#TTC" and "#TTCFails" begins trending on my tumblr (Toronto sector) and Twitter. It was all because of that unfortunate picture of the ttc man asleep at his post. Since that day, everyone's been constantly questioning why our municipal taxes are being spent on naps and inefficiency.

I take the TTC far more than some of my friends because of my handicap (lack of license) so i would think i am able to share some opinions because i have had my share of both good and bad experiences. There's been mad shit ones where i recall the time when i had to ask the entire bus for change because the busdriver man didnt bother looking at how much change i put in and didnt believe me. Or when it was what felt like -50 outside and TWO EMPTY bus drove right past me and i got on the third bus and totally bitched out the driver for his colleagues douche-bagness. At the same time i give MAD MAD respect to those bus drivers that drive the highschool routes. The bullshit they take from students is unbelievable and i remember very well a couple that were beyond cheerful and polite.

That said, um I think the situation has become very unfair for the drivers now that the younger generation (b/c we are the ones with the blueberries and iphones) has begun "stalking" their drivers every move. Its like people are completely expecting there to be more screw-ups. I feel like the busdriver can't even pick his nose on the job because then his one hand will be off the steering wheel and then the WHOAAA HE JUST PICKED HIS NOSE-pic will appear on the net and the public frowns on people that picks their nose. Seriously. Is that necessary?  BOOHOO. GET OVER IT PEOPLE.

I am completely bored and annoyed by this comedy. 

My past block of text may seem like I am completely pro-giving our taxes to people to nap on the job but that isn't the actual issue I'm describing. That incident was separate, unfortunate and stupid.

We all know it happens. It happens in every work environment. But nothing has ever been documented to give pressure to the TTC to "do" something about it. Its a good idea for the TTC to "tighten their belts" with their employees but at the same time people really need to stop it with the whole freaking-out-over-a-bathroom-break comedy or verbally harassing employees on the job (calling them useless and lazy, etc.).

We all need the TTC, regardless of the basketful of rotten, bitter employees. But why must harass the ones that ARE doing their jobs and minding their own business? Must we REALLY make the rest rotten and bitter for the mistake of those others? Shit without them driving our ass around we go NO WHERE BIATCHESSSS.

Just a thought. Stop being mean people.

The other night the mister and i SUCCESSFULLY watched Avatar Holymamas. After THREE attempts, this being our fourth were able to watch it in IMAX3D &&& was first in line and we got the sweeeetest seats in the entire theatre and chomped away on super awesome sneaked-in Chinese chips. lol We were actually in line for a good 2 hours ish and spent that hour watching The Hangover on lx's iPhone. It was such an ingenious move because our 2 hours did not feel like it.


Side note: Hangover is SUCH a wicked-ass movie. I cannot get over how freaking funny it was. I swear its the first comedy since the Wedding Crashers where i've laughed my ass off like that. Nothing else compared in between!!!! (Except maybe Tropic Thunder...that was disgustingly funny hahah). I think there's going to be a 2nd one and hopefully its going to be just as great. Zach Galifianakis (Alan) for the WINNNNN haha!!!!

So the movie situation was almost perfect- us being first in line, we have a great movie playing, snacks hidden away in my hobo bag, Starbucks on the side. An absolute WIN until- i had to pee. I was hoping i can hold it until i was in the theater, dropped off my shit and then come out and let it roll......but that did not happen because it was 10 minutes before the movie started and i told myself l'll take the chance and make a dash. I took my dash to come back and discovered they started to let people in. But the messed up part was i had to line up at the END OF THE LINE. OMGGGG. The thought did not AT ALL occur to me that i had to RE-LINE up because people arent going to let me butt in just because "my boyfriend is already inside". So yeah having to wait ten minutes to get to my sweet ass seats was kinda a waste of time haha

Again, the too perfect situation had to be spoiled by the HORRIBLE embarrassment of the ASIAN race by this family who sat next to us. I swear, every damn thing you AREN'T suppose to do at the theatre- THEY DID and they had to do it LOUDLY and in CHINESE. holyfaks. Kids, at the movies you are not suppose to:

• Run into the theatres when there is CLEARLY a lineup of PEOPLE waiting to go inside 
• Spill your JUMBO undrank soft drink on the carpet and leave it there
• Literally SCREAM at the top of your lungs everytime an animal attack scene comes on the screen (even the 4 yr old daughter did not scream HALF as loud as the mama)
• Leave your phone on NORMAL and let your phone ring for a good 30 seconds
• AND THEN discuss in chinese LOUDLY with your spouse about whether to call the person back
• AND AFTER THAT decides to call the person back and SPEAK CHINESE IN FULL VOLUME

Dot dot dot. ARGH I wanted to shoot them. These are the type of people that you hate because they TAINT the image of Asians.

Otherwise though the movie was pretty good haha. The plot was interesting, the world was interesting. At the same time though i think if i was to watch it in 2D i would be completely bored so big ups to IMAX3D lol It was worth staying out until 130am on a week night lol

For the rest of the other week nights - i completely went off of my BEAST MODE and went into EATING mode and have been eating way to effing much again which is NOT GOOD for the upcoming CUBA trip. Sobs. Now that CYN is over and the feasts has gone by i can focus on being a dieting machine again. On a shopping note I really want these shoes (not necessarily for the trip, just in general) lol

My original thought before getting into shoes- was for half of the week i was working on the mister's Valentine's Day present. This year he decided on our behalf that we're going to craft/make something for each other instead of buying something. I guess since we both are very hands-on this is always "fun" and challenging. It's also great because we save a bundle lol. Since VDAY is over, its safe for me to load pictures of my DIY project that i was ranting about working late nights on for the past week on MSN.

That my friends, is a MOCK-UP of my vision. What i wanted to create was something for the mister to put in his room because he's currently dong his reno. I also didnt want to create something that he won't display and ends up under his bed so whatever i needed to come up with has to be CHIC and display-worthy. In the end i came up with doing Wine Bottles with Customized Labels.

That is the final product!!!

Basically what i did was i pretty much stole the artwork and textures from an existing wine company and just photoshop-ed and added in my own quotes. Since i am not SELLING these and they are for PERSONAL use, i'm in no way exploiting nor infringing on any copyright legal boundaries nor am i taking ANY credit for the work of the illustrations and patterns. Aside from all the legal mumbo jumbo i had to write there in case someone who is all too serious and decides to sue me i have to cover my ass somehow.................the project turned out pretty nicely doesnt it!!!! I wrote three letters and theyre all to be opened on Valentines Day this year, 2011 and 2012. i glued/sealed the 2011 and 2012 bottles so the mister can't go in and PEEEK. mwahah. Clever arent i.

VDAY itself last night was pleasant even though there was its bumps but nothing that i won't get over. We went for a nice dinner down by the King Street West strip of Restaurants that lx and i frequent. I think we're going to make it a goal to try every single one of those restaurants on that street. Anyways we go to the one that he liked the most and again he always chooses the best dishes to eat and i always gets stuck with the mediocre one. The night had to end very early because he has to work today at 8am :(( Not before i get my crafted/DIY gift though- HOMEMADE CRANBERRY BLISS BARS baby!!!!! The STARBUCKS KIND. (FYI: My all-time favorite Pastry)

Now we're kind of back to the beginning, Chinese New Years festivities been going on the past weekend. Which also means Chinese People EVERYWHERE. I swear if it wasn't for the fact it is the New Years there would have been RED spilling everywhere because there was SO many idiots roaming the streets/markets/temple. Thinking about it makes me so angry!!! i.e. the lady i yelled at who tried to push her shopping cart out the ENTER door when there EXIT door was COMPLETELY FREAKING EMPTY!!! OMGG Who does that!!! Or the people at the temple who begins PUSHING you even though there is half of Markham's population of Asians in one room. PEOPLE- you're lucky you all have little torches (the lighted incense) in your hands or else you would have gotten a nice verbal beating from my brother and i.

I really shouldn't be so bitter for the new years. i need more hot yoga in my life haha.

So Year of the Tiger is unbelievably depressing for us big Orange Cats of 86'. My dad was just reading my horoscope to me and it kept on getting more and more glooomy. From terrible CAREER to big changes to RELATIONSHIPs (thats freaking the shit out of moi) to poor HEALTH and lack of MONEY. What the eff man. There was NO sunshine, not even a PEEK in the three articles he read to me first and i re-examined second. Nopes. No hope.

There you have it Tigers (majority of my friends)- this is the year of being patient, calm, rational and no attitude because that attracts trouble, doom and poorness. Basically dont act like a psycho bitch and you'll be fine. Bright side though, all you Oxs and Roosters are good! haha.

So before i end what i think might be the LONGEST entry i have every freaking typed in my history of blogging, i thought l'll share that i dreamt of Robert Downey Jr. last night and the first thing i did this morning was wake up to download Sherlock Holmes to watch again.................... Go freaking figure!!!! I don't even remember talking about the actor/ironman. Me and my celebrity dreams eh!!!!!

That said thought he is quite an attractive forty-five year old man. Who wouldn't wanna tap that? HAHA Okay I am a freak.

Machine Gun Typing Update

Hot Yoga

I tried it again with the cousin last Friday. This time i was smart and took a "Karma" class (these are the $5 dollars/donation classes) versus the normal 17dollars class that pretty much tainted my first impression of hot yoga (can be read here). This time around the instructor was much more funnier, friendlier and helpful than the bitch we had last time. I suppose gay men are a lot friendlier than petite Asian chicks. I also don't know if it might be the fact that ive been working out my arms a lot more and it could have contributed to the "ease"-ness of this experience........

Either way my mind is still pretty set on the fact that we had a shitty instructor the first time around though. Now that i'm pro-hot yoga (i wasn't angry when i went to sleep that night!)!! I definitely want to incorporate it into my "fitness" lifestyle at least once a week so the heat can melt away the fatttttt in time for my trip!

Dominican Trip

That said- i am finally going on my first out of the continent trip in approximately 2 months-ish with a bunch of girls whom ive known for half a decade. Plans so far is doing the oh-so-popular all inclusive trip to the Dominican Republic for a week. It is going to be so effing awesome because it means dressing up and drinking every night. Both activities i enjoy very, VERY much. I'm also hoping MY COUSIN (u broke mine and K's heart by DECLINING THE INVITE SO QUICKLY sobs.) will come join because it would be even more fabulous if she did. Also its an OPEN INVITATION to the other girls (Katie, Re & Lil) if MizTran is able to (find time and money haha) come!!!!! Honestly if you girls can come, words cannot describe how unbelievably EPIC this can be. Ahhhh. lol The mister said he'll sponsor me if i want but i dont have the heart to ask me to buy me more clothes when now looking at it i actually have a lot more than i need. His sponsorship will probably go towards paying for Phone Cards since that's one of the conditions the mommy laid out. I would probably have to call home almost every day to let her know that i haven't been eaten by a shark or mugged by the locals. I am tres tres excited because the last time i went on a trip with K and S, the trip was fcuking AWESOME and that was within the province so i can only imagine how awesome this will be. Also its my 2nd time on the plane. PWAHHAH #NOOBFAIL. No further comments to that haha.

The only things that are in my way is:

• the Rat (might not let me take that many days off) APPROVED
  
• My (lack of) passport status
• Fat body (meaning Gym time is gonna have to be intense for the next 2 months so i can achieve that no-rolls belly)...kinda not really in my way cause l'll still GO.

My budget for this trip is $1200 bucks. That's including pre-shopping, trip fee (plane & accomendations & food), entertainment, passport fee and other necessities.  I am absolutely determined to stay under....wish me goodluck! lol More updates on the trip later!

Chinese New Years & Valentines Day

Chinese New Years is fast approaching and i always feel extra festive when it does. Its probably an AZN PRYDE thing. Hopefully the food wont overwhelm me and make me gain weight. Going to spend time with the family and then im actually allowed to spend VDAY with the mister...surprisingly. Its going to be a funnnnn weekend. =]]] <3 I'm also hoping i get my requested day off, to do all my errands and make it a FOUR day weekend lol

My DIY gift to the mister is slowly making progress. I'm waiting on my manager to obtain the essential "material" for me. Now if she fails, then i fail too and i am gonna end up with a failed DIY project and he'll end up with no Vday gift.

Heading says it all lol I think the mister and i are going to attempt it again tomorrow evening. Come on, who goes to the movies on Wednesday nights at 10:30.....aside from us. haha so lets all hope that we are able to see it even though I will probably be mad tired the next day. He has openly volunteered to drive me to work the next day (by staying over at my place) so i can sleep in for an hour more. Very sweet of him, i think l'll take him up on that offer.

Purdy isnt it? Makes me want to shop (Zara = huge sale = me going crazy) !!!  Suddenly my new favorite store is Zara......on sale. Nonetheless their stuff is stylish but not so Forever21 price range for me lol Maybe its just me but i haven't seen any of Zara's Headband collection in their stores? Or is it just a States (argh no fair) thing? I'm lacking headbands (like how im lacking scarves....).

On another note, I REALLLLLLLLLY need to get a move on my much delayed/procrastinated Room Reno that I declared back in July09 (ish). I mean, even lx is starting up with his and we havnt even finished with mine. Argh argh! Things i NEED to accomplish:

• Go grab the wardrobe from K!!!!!
• Wallpaper my closet door
• Buy fabric for my DIY projects (for the room & K's belated Christmas Present)
• Patterned Wrapping Paper/Stock to cover bookends
• Buy: Bookends, file storage, binders, large black stylish storage boxes, large laundry hamper, wooden clothes hangers, bed/bomforter linen
  
• Paint Room (the minute its warm enough to keep windows open all night)

I feel like i am repeating this list over and over again with nothing crossed off.

Anywaysssss. I'm so so looking forward to the weekend! Like i mentioned before double Winterlicious!! @ Fred's Not Here & Oliver and Bonacinii because we are poor but want relatively decent lunch food. Its just gonna suck a tiny bit because of the super cold wave that's coming this weekend which means i'll have to bundle up and not allowed to look pretty because little bundled up eskimos aren't pretty.

I'm also feeling lucky. Maybe the mister and i should try Avatar IMAX again? haha

Avatar the movie has been out playing in theaters for approximately 3 weeks and five days in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D. It's still freaking # 1 at the Box Office internationally and it was officially the 3rd failed attempt that the lx and i couldn't watch it on Tuesday- and that REALLLY pisses us off because we're both big movie-watchers and not being able to see a #1 box office film within the first 2 weeks of its release reallly annoys us.

That said though, we've been only willing to watch it in IMAX 3D and will not even settle for 3D let alone 2D. You might call us picky but like ive blogged about it before, it was made for this technology so why should we settle for less. There's only THREE theatres in the GTA that has IMAX theatres which are Scotiabank (DT), Colossus (Vaughn), Coliseum Mississauga (Sq 1). For us, the Vaughn one is actually the closest and that's been the one that we've been lurking at for the past 3 weeks. Its unbelievable how sold out they are and we are kind of at a bigger disadvantage than everyone else because we can't buy our tickets online due to the fact we have these IMAX certificates and we would actually have to pay extra if we order them online vs. lining up and using them. Its such a bitch. arghhh.

Hope we see it soon, cuz its making us very very angry. AND it better be as great as its hyped up to be.

Moving on -

The other day on Twitter my cousin used the term "Twin Couple" when she was referring to the mister and i and i thought how appropriately cute that was lol I find her and her mister to be the biggest goofballs and i absolutely adore their company. There is seriously not a dull moment EVER whenever we have our double date and i always feel the love between them even when they are bickering....and lx and i just laugh at them. I'm at that age where a lot of my friends are in relationships (especially in the GCM fam, every girl has a boyfriend!!!) but what i find interesting is that every couple has their own "personal flair" and after endless conversations with K and the cousin, I can almost conclude that there is no "normal" way of being a couple. What I mean by that is not every single relationship needs to go by the unknown textbook of how a "classic" couple is suppose to be and how they're suppose to act. What lx and i may find fun others might find it being ridiculous and vice versa, what others think are "normal", we might find it to be boring. After explaining all that, I find that my relationship with lx is very similar to my cousin's relationship with her boyfriend. We're the type of couple that enjoys bickering and picking on each other ....which lots of people find weird because couples are "suppose" to be nice and polite to each other. YAWNs.

Anyhoo we had a delightful, calories and sugar-filled evening the other night over Poker and Big 2....just like exactly how she blogged about it lol Lets do up a wings night soon! Hearts you both lots.

Other random thoughts:

• I've been on Beast Mode for the past 2 weeks and i shall CONTINUE to be on Beast Mode. 
• BEAST MODE is when you are eating healthy, working out, not drinking every night and working hard! (Rob Kardashian)
• I need to get the cousin to show me how to use the weight machines. 
  
• Talked to J about this, but i want to get the GCM kids together for a "Chinese New Years" dinner in February (either early Feb before CYN or late Feb after CYN). Probably hotpot and some unknown activity afterwards. Await for the FB event kids!!
• 2 Winterlicious lunches with the ladies and then one with the boys (back to back!!) because we all can't afford Winterlicious dinners.
  
• I'm still hunting for things for my room. Gah. So hard. && just obtained the gorgeous patterned wallpaper from K last night. <333 Can't wait to put it up!!
• 4th Attempt at Avatar with the mister soon. 
• Much needed trip to BMV. My booklist significantly grew after my last visit to Chapters. 
• I actually have no laptop at the moment. Its under the attack of trojans, worms, hijacks (?!) and viruses soo i havnt turned it on since Sunday. I am on facebook significantly less and being very unproductive in terms of my design work etc. Its starting to annoy me just a tiny bit this little inconvenience............
• It's a little hard to believe, but i've actually read 7/15 books Nicholas Sparks (aka the author of THE NOTEBOOK) has written. Actually its not THAT hard to believe given that I am the type of person that likes to deliberately watch and read things that makes me cry. I might make it a goal to do 15/15 this year.

Okay i am going to UPDATE with some readable material because my cousin left the cutest wall msg (in the world) asking me to update and i really can't disappoint her. Also K expressed her dissatisfaction with me too so i gotta type more than 4 sentences haha

The "Christmas" holiday zoomed by extremely quickly and with my peanut-size memory i've forgotten most of the details already. Funny though, i didnt get my usual PRE-Christmas Blues this year. Perhaps ive grown out of them? Because i dont have the POST-Christmas Blues either. So strange....Anyways going to review the 24th-27th days because it was the most EPIC days of the holiday and i survived on very little sleep.

Christmas Eve
From what i remember, this day was absolute crunch day. Lx and i were suppose to go pre-boxing day shopping and shop for last minute gifts for his family. Prior to that though, he was to go DimSum-ing with my family because i think we will be creating a tradition of that from now on (Christmas Eve is dim sum with my family, Christmas Day is dinner with his family). Unfortunately lx's Christmas Curse strikes for the third year in a row and he comes down with a chronic case of the flu and had to cancel on that. I remember thinking to myself, omg this is fukking deja vu. Thankfully, his bff took me shopping instead and spent more money than i haha.

@ Night it was Christmas Eve dinner at my cousin's house (the turkey i ate was the best turkey ive had in five years). I dont see my cousins very often and it makes me very sad because lx and his cousins are unbeliveably close even with the age difference AND the fact they dont even live in the same country...while all mine live within the city and i don't even see them more than twice a year. sighs.

Anyways that night i was seated with my older cousins, in their thirties and it was really nice to finally be able to talk to them on a level where we understand each other. Two of my cousins are fairly grounded in the print industry and it was too awesome, speaking "print" with them while their husbands attempt to jump into the conversation with random print knowledge. "Is the stock FSB-certified" (inside GCM joke) haha aw. it was hilarious. Of course i am plentiful jealous of them because they know SO SO many people in the industry to a point where it seems like one of my cousins has worked in every damn print shop known to a trade printer and the other one has TI Group knocking on her office door and offering to print her wedding invitations. Argh. so so jealous. They also can cook amazing turkey too. Gah. Even more jealous lol.

I also got to see the kids who i call my nephews and neices (i dont know what u call cousin's kids) are the most adorable kids in the world. Here i am adoring lx's two nephew and neices, i adore mine even more. Absolutely cuteness galore. That said though i'm terrifying of having kids hahah.

COMPLETELY RANDOM:
I've been following justbee@xanga's life for the past two months. Shes the creator of weddingbee.com (a REALLY large wedding blog site-turned network) and since shes "married" now, she talks about her post-marriage life in the Big Apple and she's very entertaining because her husband and herself r really rich so she always has adventures and shopping tips to share. More recently, she started blogging about her pregnancy, and even MORE recently- the birth of her new baby. Anyways, since shes an avid blogger like myself- she blogged about her labor experience and nothing beats reading someone's personal experience in Child Birth. All i have to say about that is, i don't know if i can survive childbirth when the time comes hahah It sounds excruciating. I knew that it was (very) painful, but reading her experience made me want to cringe. So yes, i love kids but afraid of having them. Thought i would share.

Ok back to my original thought: so we came home from my cousins' and i HAD to begin baking because the mister's family christmas dinner was in less than 24 hrs. I originally was going to make Cheesecake Bites, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies and Cookie Monster Cupcakes for the kids. Since i couldnt grab the cream cheese and ricotta cheese in time, i had to minus the Cheesecake Bites from the plan and only do the other two. I started at around...10pm? I went to sleep at 3:30am-ish. Half of my batch of cookies turned out like shit (overdone) and the other half i kept to use for the mouths of my Cookie Monster cupcakes.

I have this pic loaded up everywhere because this was my first time baking cupcakes from scratch and they came out REALLY tasty and it actually LOOKS like cookie monster and not a blue blob...thus i am VERY proud of myself. =]]] I think im going to make it a tradition to bake (different kinds) of cupcakes for his family events because the adults were REALLY into it. Even though i had to make the flour batch TWICE cuz i fukked up the process, crush the brown sugar until the skin on my fingers peeled because it condensed in the jar and frosted those damn cupcakes until i felt like fainting. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. haha.

Christmas Day
I remember waking up particularly early because i had nightmares that my cupcakes flopped and i actually ran downstairs to check if they were in-tacked at 7am haha. I still had presents to make and wrap, presents to give out, cards to write, nails to do, hair to straighten before the mister came to get me. It was all a blur, probably because it was gloomy and rainy and i dont remember much when its grey and dark outside. I finally made it to Lx's (WITH a Starbucks ^^) and spent the night at his house and replacing him in all games and festivities because he had to sleep at 10pm (for an early bird 7am shift the next morning). Again, i don't think l'll ever learn all of his extended families' names and their relationship to one another. There is simply too many each time and i swear the older ladies all look the same. lol His sister is great to me and really made me feel comfortable by sitting next to me during games so i feel less like an outsider. I am tres thankful that shes treating me like "family"....actually overall im glad she likes me or else life would really suck (she might turn her kids against me if she didnt like me!!!) haha. It was another late night b/c i spent it helping lx's mom clean up and maneuver through their mountain of gifts received for being a host.

Boxing Day
Like i said previously, i spent the night and was awaken by the kids poking at my face looking for Grandma at 730am lol Couldnt really sleep in because they started yelling around 9am. The morning goes by with relatives showing up and LX coming home for lunch before going back to work. It was a very Sunday-morning-family brunch sort of feel......but that sounds really gay so i didnt bring that up to LX and he probably won't read as far as this so i dont feel so lame typing it. I told myself that i must NOT go to the mall because ive spent far more than i intended to earlier this month and i was quite successful. The day ended with us going to watch Sherlock Holmes (which i kind of fell asleep to....) because Avatar in IMAX was sold out until yesterday @ the Vaughn location. I'm SURE a lot of people think we're being too picky because we refuse to watch it in "3D" or "2D" but i mean if ur gonna watch a movie that was MADE for IMAX....should respect that and watch it in the same technology it was made right? Just my opinion. It was a short night because i was so exhausted from the past 2 days.

&&&&& yeah thats my super long ass summary of the 3 most important days of the holiday haha Met up with K and everyone for Frankie Tomatoes on Saturday and then later Cranium-ed it up @ Lx's with his bffs. Was seriously one of the best Cranium games ive ever played. We mustttttttt do it againnnnnnnnnn =D

Im seriously starting to lose my touch with blogging. i feel like im boring and not entertaining anymore...or even MORE boring and even MORE not entertaining from before. Gah. I guess thats what happens when ur life is boring.

NYE is gonna be quiet this year. LX is working an evening shift and l'll probably be bringing in my laptop and blogging about 2009 while waiting for him to get off work to do something random.

I've been at it like a pig for the past 3 months. I've totally wasted three months worth of gym membership when i had to continue paying even though im not actually going. Gah. Ninty-ish dollars gone. Let's hope starting next week i can get back into it. Feeling like poo, physically. My chub is exploding again. I really should do something about it instead of just whining.

Anyways it started to snow today and i was in a way kind of happy because this means the Christmas spirit in me is coming back soon!!! Even with the Eaton Centre decorated with its Swarovski Tree and Starbucks and their Red Cups, I am not even close to feeling the Christmas spirit. I completely forgot that the Cavalcade of Lights existed and didnt even realize it until GlobalTv did a feature. I felt rather numb watching the pretty fireworks go at it at Nathan Phillip Square when normally i would feel all warm and bubbly when i see pretty lights and fireworks...it was actually really depressing lol. Hopefully, i can see the boys on Saturday for our overdue date and then sneak in skating with the mister at night to bring some Christmas cheer back into our lives lol I also have to start Christmas shopping for the family, Lx's family and close friends. I crossed the biggest one off my list today (being no-good) and that's always a good thing because i always stress about what to get him every year.

Also praying that the MINUS degrees weather isnt going to hit before my new jacket comes from BC!!!!!! I havnt bought anything BIG in a long time so this is reallly exciting for me. lol I am also going to conclude that there is absolutely no UGGs in my future because the only ones i want have officially been discontinued and i have no desire in wanting any others. I must find a different way to keep my feet warm. lol And can someone pwleaseeeeeee let me know when pretty bedsheets go on sale? I'm having no luck with these : ((

Ok suddenly this turns into a random word vomit because my blogging mode switched on. Since ive gone past my bedtime im going to have to cut short and cheat with point-form.

• Songs on Repeat: Lady Gaga- Bad Romance and Jason Derulo- Whatcha Say. Both were heavily influenced by Gossip Girl.
• The Victoria Secret Fashion Show was pretty good this year minus that whole reality-hunt-for-the-next VS Angel thing. i really despise the winner, she was cocky and couldnt walk but thats just my opinion. i lovee lovee the Black Eye Peas and Fergie's thunder thighs. i really didnt like their song Meet me Halfway at first but again, under the influence of hot half-naked chicks that song is on repeat too. 
• Obsessed with organizing/labeling/filtering/categorizing my e-mails in GMAIL. i really do have some sort of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). 
• I find myself getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks or so. It is the most princess-thing i can do but there's honestly something about having someone shape and buff your nails for you that's just so satisfying....even though i technically can do it myself. I think its one of those things i would skimp out on a lunch just to save enough to go to a nail bar/salon. 
  
• Matte Nail Polish: you are mine soon.  
• Last night i dreamt i was part of the TWILIGHT/NEW MOON/ECLIPSE movie and i was with the "Wolf" Gang (sadly Taylor Lautner was NOT in my dream) but regardless the wolf guys were REALLLLLY sexy in my dream hahaha. ^______^
  
• Have a new found love for Vitamin Water. I downed a whole bottle and a half tonight. It was delicious. I kept on wanting more. I dont know if this is normal.
• Met up with the kids this past weekend and gamed it up til 4:30am. I was completely dead the next day.
• Successfully planned another Birthday Surprise that worked out beautifully. I still haven't lost my touch : ) It reminded me of why im always the planner for events. Seeing people happy made the stress completely worth it at the end. 
• Twin tried hot yoga for the first time yesterday and reported it back to me on a one on one basis and basically: I AM SOLD. J and/or Cousin, we must go soon. lol

Last night after dinner with his parents, LX and i were completely clueless on what to do. We were too poor to call people to come out.... actually we didn't want to go out in general because going out requires money but we didn't want to be boring either. In the end, we decided that we wanted to watch a movie and/or go for ice cream floats @ Demetres. That's when our thinking caps turned on and came up with this:

Movie => Wanting to watch an older movie to save money on the ticket => Me suggesting we go rent one @ Blockbuster => Lx propose that we DOWNLOAD it instead => Saw V DVD Ripped in less than half an hour.

Dessert @ Demetres => Ice Cream on Sale @ Shoppers Drug Mart => Coke at my house => Us Preparing => Homemade Ice Cream floats

A New Dream

After seeing this picture, it inspired me to want to go to Paris and sip Starbucks!!! All while wearing a pretty outfit with hot shoes. Linking arms with the mister and perhaps be chomping on some french baguette with cheese. (inside jk. hahah)


It would be suchhhhhh a classy and romantic affair.



Of course sipping Starbucks wouldn't be the only reason why i want to go to Paris, duh.

On this Day

i ate my first bite of a vegetable in....19 years?
[[ Quick backstory: I don't eat vegetables, blah blah blah, i get naueous and sick and an automatic gag reflex when i attempt to eat veggies so its a psychological reaction blah blah blah its been like this since i was four blah blah yes my number two is fine blah blah blah the end. ]]

pwahhaha omfg this is too much. What happened was, i went to my manager's Italian resturant (Stratto Wine & Grill on Avenue Road) with the mister and their food was effing delicious. Holyshit, you know that im not kidding or exaggerating if the food was able to get me to eat veggies. this is crazy i tell uuuuuu!!!

i ordered their calamari griglia( Tossed with Olive oil, garlic, Balsamic, Kalamata olives, oven roasted tomatoes and fresh herbs with blonde frisee’....copied from their site* haha) and the sauce that it was prepared in was SO GOOD, that this was when i told myself i have to eat all the tomatoes because it would be a terrible sin to let this good sauce go to waste. So that was when i began to eat them..................amazing isnt it (the mister helped me with the sauce by dipping our dinner rolls into it...we are so big six).

pwahahaha.

Then the gnocchi alfredo i ordered and the mister lasagna was uber filling and delicious.

& & we got to have traditional Italian tiramisu (superb taste, the alcohol soaked with the cheese mmmmmm) on the house, courtesy of my manager's husband aka the owner.

i swear it was one orgasmic dish after another.

i am taking every single person i know to that restaurant (i.e. the girls, my parents, my cousin&bf, and more) not only because the food was A+++, the presentation was A+++ too (the presentation was like those dishes you see that gets prepared on the Iron Chef) but because i ate a tomato without anyone forcing me to. Okay so maybe its NOTTT that big of a deal, but seriously those whom has ate with me before, WOULD know that this is kind of a big deal for me so

BE PROUD OF ME PEOPLE.

My left eye keeps on twitching

The mister and his buddies has a routine of going to bbt with their laptops and game til the place closes. When we first began dating, i honestly would go out every night and do the same thing except i wont be gaming, lll just be doing my own thing on my laptop instead. This is a typical night:





Hardcore nerds we are indeed.

But yes, thinking back now, i rEALLLY dont know how i was able to do it for almost every night for like 8 months because now i get SO freaking exhausted after sitting for an hour.

its either im old or im sick of bbt. or both.
but its okay, b/c the boys r cool and i would assume they enjoy my company because im weird, young, naive and dorky.

This 9-5 Life

Its only the second week of my fabulous 9-5 working life yet i am so bored of it already. My routine is as follows:

7:15am- WakeUp to do my morning bathroom routine, turn on laptop before going to the washroom, assign positions to my minions on restaurant city (freak, i know), load an episode of Criminal Minds that i did not finish the previous night, check my blog subscriptions, check facebook photos, check weather. THEN, i begin to choose what to wear and change
7:45am- I set my laptop beside me and sit on the ground and begin to put on my face in front of the mirror while the episode of criminal mind that i was loading begins to play. I guess i do my hair too during this time depending on my mood.
8:05am- I go downstairs to eat breakfast and carry my laptop with me so i can finish the episode of Criminal Minds
8:20am- Leave the house.
9am-5pm- The wonderful 8 hours of being a noobie marketing associate
5pm-7pm- I either:
a) bus home and catch up on whatever that i missed during my 8 hours at work that i wasnt able to check on my blackberry and feed my minions on restaurant city.
ORRRRR
b) the mister comes get me and we go to Starbucks and spend time together until we both gotta go home to eat with our families : )
7pm-8pm Dinner with the fam, gossip about my day with the parents, have meaningful, intellectual conversation with my dad regarding real estate trends, fruits and the goddam tamil protest(s) going around toronto.
8pm-10:15pm I do whatever i need to do to prepare for the next day, or procrastinate and go make-believe online shopping...all while feeding my minions and watching Criminal Minds
10:30pm- Pause Criminal minds, call the mister to say goodnight & the snoring begins


REPEAT EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!!
Talk about being super boring.....and sad.

I'm a freaking robot thats OBSESSED with Criminal Minds, Restaurant City and the Internet. I have no social interaction whatsoever during the week...which is why i look forward to Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays so much because its the only days im able to stray away from my "9-5" schedule and actually SEE people (even though i get dead tired by midnight =__=). But ya, im sure people who do 9-5 as well actually have lives other than me so kudos to you guys lol

However with that said, its the weekend now and i tend to migrate to the misters for a couple of days during the weekend when the house is free. Yesterday i went to some warehouse sale that sold dirt cheap Smashbox, RedEarth and Elizabeth Arden make-up (and a lot of other cheap stuff). Holy shit i think i walked out with like 200 bucks worth of stuff and im actually considering going back for more even though its a TERRIBLE idea.


As you can see in the picture, i ended up getting:
- an Elizabeth Arden Quad Shadow Palette (im starting to get confused on what colors i have, and what colors i DONT have)
- a RedEarth brow kit (gotta learn how to shape my my invisible eyebrows)
- RedEarth Duo Eyeliner in blue (for two dollars!!!)
- Smashbox Matte Dry/Wet Foundation (i think i just found the best foundation in my limited-knowledge world on foundation)
- Smashbox's Bronzer Disc that was 57% off the original price (now i just gotta learn how to apply it without looking like burnt toast)
- 99 cents Sally Hassen Nail Stuff
- other misc. stuff like Dove Facial Kits and things for my brother.

Craziness.

I need to stop with this spending. I was actually crossing my fingers as they scanned the stuff and prayed it wouldnt go over 2 bills because i think thats all i have left on my Visa and it would be pretty embarrassing if they swiped it and it goes DENIED (happened before, very embarrassing, people give u that mean dirty look.)

I guess this 9-5 thing isnt so bad since its paying for my debts. Blah.
Okies, time to go make mango pudding.
