The most important thing I realized is that painful breakups, unrequited love, shitty jobs and the like help us to BUILD CHARACTER and that no matter how bad it feels, we are much better off because of it. Sometimes you have to stand alone to make sure you can. Forget what you want to remember what you deserve. You may not end up where you thought you'd be, but you'll always end up where you were meant to be. You can either let these bad things, define you, destroy you or strengthen you. Fight through it like a warrior. Greater things are to come.

i am a wizard not a baboon brandishing a stick bitch

WARNING - INTENSIVE HEAVY, WORD VOMIT OF HARRY POTTER-NESS KIND OF ENTRY WITH A MILLION PICTURES. YOU MIGHT WANT TO SKIP THIS ENTRY TOO IF YOU WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

I just came home from watching the movie and I am still in disbelief that the movies are actually (and finally) done. This last Harry Potter film was.....unbelievable. Even though the story ended 4 years ago, i felt like I still had the movies to look forward to. But now, the magic really did end tonight for me and the millions of childhoods. A whole generation saying good bye.

I thought the movie REALLY did the last book justice. I waited 5 years, to see the great Hogwarts Battle. 10 years to see R&H finally hooking it up, 5 years to see that duel scene between M&B. To have all that visualized for you on screen is indescribable, and for it to be just as amazing as you imagined it in your head?!?! Again, indescribable.

To also grow up with the actors and actresses that plays the characters is also pretty amazing. Look at the change and transitions, visual:

sheeeesh. look at how HANDSOME they look now.

They were SOOO cute and tiny.

Part i cried the MOST

and

The Snape character was given proper justice in the movie. I think for his scene, i cried the hardest. Probably the hardest ive cried for ANY movie. Its right up there with the Notebook, beating out UP.

And of course, the trio- whom i will miss terribly

Turds.

Plus not enough emphasis on Ron who's the dorkiest boy in the world.

“The stories we love best do live in us forever, and whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you forever.”
— JK Rowling.

I know that, its very hard for a lot of people to comprehend why and how this is such a significant. But its very emotional. Something that you have loved for 10 years (hey, longer than ANY relationship ive had with anything/anyone) its not that easy to see it end!!! If you think of it from OUR perspective, we find it very hard to understand why YOU GUYS, don't see the emotional attachment. Someone tweeted:

"lol @ people who have an emotional relationship with the Harry Potter films. They are good, but no need to cry that they are over."

FIRST OFF, i unfollowed that person that said that. Second, well, imagine me saying "Hey, your pet (insert animal here) was good to you too but no need to cry when she/he dies." to you.

..........

Yeah harsh right? That's exactly how we, as HP fans feel when you guys say that to us. It's actually a little hurtful, for me anyways. We don't expect you to understand because it IS difficult to understand but don't make it seem like its a joke (okay so i joke all the time about being a wizard and that there's such thing as *magic*, that's just me being difficult and being a clown haha) and that we are just blowing it out of proportions. Life as it is, is unbelievably difficult and brutal, this for us is just a lil bit of magic that we found. Plus, give it a little credit for its millions of supporters- its gotta fucking mean something right? I hate to compare (and believe me i am able to compare because i am just as hardcore with this series) but being disgustingly OBSESSED with Twilight (the movies) is VERY different from being obsessed with Harry Potter.

Something that’s worth so much in my life, that IS my life actually, has come to an end. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been part of this since its started. i stayed til the very end, the love for it isn't going to fade and i'm proud to be your friendly HP geek.

Life feels that little bit more emptier now. But thanks to all my friends who's been putting it up with this many years. Thanks to twin that got me started and shared the same love for HP with me all this time.

That's the end of this generation for me~

PS. Forgive the awful.....grammar, sentence fragments and unorganized thoughts. Its late and i'm still a bit overwhelmed.

I MISS YOU BLOGGING

I really ought to start blogging again. I miss sharing my thoughts and randomness and i'm sure as hell you guys miss reading stuff from me. Shockingly, people STILL come by to see whether or not i've updated (thank you oh loyal stalker ones). I guess i owe you guys THATT much for sticking by me. I'm considering whether i should pick up where i ended that 10 day Tumblr Challenge that i NEVER actually finished. HA (You can go through them by clicking on the BLOG PROJECTS link on the side there or here) Or just completely start a new one. The idea of starting a new one is extremely tempting at the moment so i probably will do that. I will be starting another Project 30 Day (older one can be found here or the entire month of September 2010) aka. the Photo project that EVERYONE loved. I shall begin that next WEDNESDAY when i get my camera back from someone. cough. haha <3

So. What's new eh. AHHHHHHHHH

................................

Haha wow. I am SO terrible at this now i don't even know where to begin. ESPECIALLY because.....its almost 2am and i haven't updated in so long i don't remember what i have done anymore (happens with old age and lots of drinking) since my last, long word vomit entry. OKAY MAJORLY OFF. I FELL ASLEEP. ITS ACTUALLY 330 PM RIGHT NOW AS I'M TYPING THIS. I'M ALSO ROYALLY ANNOYED BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT RIGHT NOW. Holey crap MAJOR DELAY.It is officially four days later since i STARTED this blog, i am DETERMINED to finish it TONIGHT. RWAR.

i digress. moving on-

I'm still in the middle of this finding a job crisis. I'm getting pretty nervous again. The place that called me back for a 2nd interview has "delayed" the hiring because of some internal crisis so now im just AWAITING for them to sort that crisis out and see if they remember to call me. I don't even know what to do. I'm still applying (DAILY) for positions but seriously.....Graphic Design is hard stuff. Looks like I have to start doing "cold" e-mailing. I kind of wish they can get it over with, and just reject me if they really aren't that interested in me so i can move on.

Other points of interest
  • San Diego ish in LESS THAN A MONTH
Indeed kids. I will be in San Diego for comic con next month. Its starting to REALLY hit me because schedules of panels are coming out, more things are confirmed to be at the convention. It will be absolutely EPIC. The boys and i just need to wrap up some loose ends and i shall be off, snogging Ian Somerhalder. Hopefully. hahah Unfortunately, I will be missing an epic Canoe Summerlicious Dinner date w/ zee girls. I am quite sadden that l'll be missing it but hopefully when i return we can have another nights out at Brants. I'll be adding onto this subject more and more as the day gets closer.

  • Reading Percy Jackson series / a lil rant
The other day at BMV i was able to find the ENTIRE Percy Jackson and the Olympian Gods boxed series in HARDCOVER for only 30 dollars which is a STEAL because each book usually costs about 25 dollars anyways (FYI. I try to buy only hardcovers, especially when it comes to series. I have a thing for hardcover books).
    • Been reading that and even though i'm only on book 3, i would have to put it as 4th on my "Favorite Book Series of all times" list. Extremely entertaining, but NO WHERE near Harry Potter (#1), Twilight or the Hunger Games (which fights for #2).
    • Also, don't judge me......because i read "childrens" books. These childrens books are GOOD. Ohkay.
      • Earlier I was part of a discussion re: Harry Potter vs. Twilight. People were comparing the two series. For someone like me who is a HUGE (and proud) obsessive fan of both series- i get majorly annoyed when that happens. Its like comparing apples and oranges, seriously, dont be stupid now. If ANYONE has any say on this, i would think id be the one that has the most legit argument. Ugh. // rant done.
    • The Percy Jackson books also reminded how much i love Greek Mythology. I think if was rich and my family did not depend on me to bring home cash nor would i ever need to support myself in this lifetime, i would study Greek Mythology because its geniunely a subject that I've always enjoyed since i heard my first Greek Myth in grade 6. Too bad my life isn't that ideal.

  • Freelance Work
Been busy as hell with freelance work. Might have slightly mentioned this before in previous blog entries but A and I are going to tag team and come together to work on a special project. I'm pretty excited about that, i think things should be pretty awesome once we have something to show.

  • Beastmode
Since December i've put on a disgusting 10lbs. Fortunately for me, Combat and Weights HAVE paid off and i've lost 4lbs in the past 2 months (HUGE for me!). Just another 6 to go and l'll be back to how i was LAST August (which i considered to be the first time in my life where ive been the fittest AND skinniest ive ever been in my life).
    • I do have a new goal though, which is to reach that DREAM weight and physique by my 25th birthday this year. Essentially November 2nd is my deadline. You know. Birthday and all. I like being monumental about certain occasions.
    • All my life i've been big (im serious) and i would REALLY like it, if by my quarter of a century i can finally reach that ideal physique so i can look at myself in the mirror and be proud of the way i look and not be ashamed as i have been all my life. Going to work really hard for that.

  • I MISS ARSENAL
ENOUGH SAID. I MISS WATCHING ARSENAL PLAY SO MUCH AND GOING INSANE.

fjhskjskfkldsjfdlsk i think im done.

Damnit i REALLY am losing my touch. Must work hard. Don't want to lose that blogging momentum. EVER.

but ya. there u go. AN UPDATE.

Fairytale

I attended my first Brown Engagement Blessing ceremony yesterday for S&N. It would say it was quite a pleasant culture experience. I think it was mostly stemmed from the fact that i was able to be part of the "back scene" by helping setting up things and being around the bridal party for the entire day. I think if i was to just arrive and not been around to do all those things, i would have been pretty bored.

The engagement ceremony went well, S looked so so beautiful. I think her and N are the most good-looking couple i know. Pretty babies are expected. It was SO SO hot though, i think i sweated up a storm and i was the one that didn't have to wear the traditional clothing which basically meant i got the better end of the deal. Afterwards it was pictures (the bridal party is SO cute) and drinking as down time.

So can i say that brown people can party? Like, even the grown-ups lololol omg it was INSANE. A few drinks and they start blasting reggae and dance hall. I didnt even need to go to the club to dance. And can i also add, that S's mom has got some hot swag. I cannot move like that woman. She is absolutely phenomenon!!!!!

One thing i do want to comment on though, is how envious I am of S&N. They are what you call, blissfully in love with one another. The perfect fairytale. Its not the sappy, barf-worthy kind of romance either. Its real yet storybook-like. They are both so so cool and so much fun when they're together. Everything you want in a relationship, they have with one another. I can even go as far as saying that they remind me a lot of when A and I were together, playful. But so much more. So much better. Lets not forget how much her in-laws LOVES her. And vice versa. The family bond is also visibly strong and its not quite official just yet either so you can only imagine how much stronger it will become when they become official. Honestly, the day just proves that happily ever afters do exist. There are guys out there that want to settle down and be devoted to building a life with you without needing to sacrifice anything. So thank you to the both of you, for giving me hope. Again. Sorta.

Needless to say though- i earned my Scarborough street creds yesterday. haha booya.

But now its TOTAL CRUNCH TIME. My entire day was pretty much wasted because of my hangover. (I drank on an empty stomach AGAIN. I really don't learn do i.)

The main theme for the deck i am creating is Playstation/Xbox's NBA 2K11. I hope being the boy that i am, i can design something so kickass that it doesn't look like a female did it. And then of course get hired and life would be almost perfect again.

Outs.

Something Borrowed

About a month ago, the trailer for this novel "Something Borrowed" was released. My first impression of the trailer/movie was that its a pretty cute chick romance flick and probably WILL end up seeing it just because. The thing is that i've never read the book despite it being the top book to read on every girls list and been out for so long. Most of the girls aren't surprised that I haven't read it because "chick" novels are not exactly my think whereas i prefer mysteries, drama and erm, wizards/vampires/teenagers killing each other (i lump them all in one category because everyone does lol) haha. So i had no plans of reading it whatsoever and will depend heavily on the critique of girlfriends whom has and will allow them to point out to me how faithful the movie was to the book. Something i was completely fine with.

Until this:

I won advance screening tickets (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to the movie through a blog contest that C told me to enter. I entered it not expecting to win (because i don't ever win anything) and the next thing you know i get an e-mail telling me i wonnnnnnnn. I really did not expect this advance screening to be much. I mean its shown two days before release night, how special can it be right? Ha. So it appears to be a tad more special than that because (as you can see in the above pic) the actor who plays Dex (the main guy in the novel) will be making a special appearanceeeeeeeeee. Bwhahaha. I totally experienced a fan girl moment when i saw that line of text in red and bold. Oh em geeeeeee. The guy is a GORGEOUS 38 year old. This means i must straighten the hair fo shuree now haha. and maybe wear a dress.

On another note- i did finish the book and fak it was GOOOOD. The way it was written is similar to Sex and the City, and everyone knows Sex and the City to me is a visual bible. Anything Carrie Bradshaw says is golden and sacred. Thus, this book is pretty effing awesome too.
Quick plot summary:
The novel centers around the protagonist and narrator, Rachel White, a thirty-year-old single woman who is a consummate good-girl. She and Darcy Rhone have been best friends since childhood, and hard-working Rachel is often in the shadow of flashy, sometimes ALWAYS selfish Darcy. Then, after a night of drinking on Rachel's thirtieth birthday, she sleeps with Darcy's fiance, Dex. After this turns into an affair, Rachel explores the meaning of friendship, true love, and ethics. - Courtesy of WIKIPEDIA.

Right, so I can relate to it in several aspects.

One
the whole 30 year old and single thing. I so see that happening to me and its going to suck ox balls. In the novel, the protagonist talked about how every girl dreams to be a 20s bride and have that beautiful family and house with the white fence around it by 30. But shit happens and the next thing you know, you're 28 and starting to freak the shit out until you actually hit 30 and that's when botox and lavalife commercials seems intriguing. Its really not that glamorous to be successful but single. Sure you can afford 14 dollar Caesars and bone a different guy every night but the party lifestyle can get tiresome. I would know, i've been living that lifestyle (being unemployed but having a sufficient income from the government) for almost a year now and i'm only twenty four. (Note: not saying i bone a different guy every night HA). I digress. So in the novel she's hit 30 and she's single. It sucks. That is- until she bones the guy shes been in love with for 7 years aka her bff's fiancee.
Two
being cheated on. Another thing that sucks ox (or maybe buffalo) balls. Being cheated on is perhaps the worst thing in the world. The feeling of betrayal is so overwhelming and suffocating that adjectives just doesn't cut it. Which is why i am completely unsure on whether i agree with the main protagonist having an affair with her bff's boyfriend. No matter how much i hate the bff (whoms a major bitch id cut), it's just not cools. Its hard to judge because the plot is so much more complicated but at the end of the day, cheating is wrong. I strongly believe in Karma and how it can and will sneak up on you and bite you in the ass and you will have no one to blame but yourself. I'm tres cynical aren't i.
Three being the plain jane in the group. I don't care what anyone says- i have always been the larger, taller, bigger, uncooler one. I know what it feels like to live in the shadows. I know what it feels like when the guy likes your best friend and not you, or they they're talking to you just so you can be the wingman for them and one of your girls. Been there, done that. Maybe that's why I choose to live a certain lifestyle, just so i can be more special. Nobody likes dorks anyways when you can have a pretty fun girl. The type of guys i like anyways. HA. I DIGRESS AGAIN. I feel myself going emo again lol.

SO YES. FANTASTIC BOOK. Starting the 2nd book now. Hopefully its just as good. I heard that one of the characters i liked in the first book will have a bigger role in the second one. I am talking about Ethan, if anyone cares.

THAT SAID.

The dude with the arrow beside him is John Krasinski, and he's playing the character whom i am currently in live with (Ethan). I'm not sure why John Krasinski is part of the "main cast" because he doesn't really play that big of a role in the novel (not so sure about the 2nd book though) but HEY. I'M NOT COMPLAINING because i am IN LOVEEEEEE with him. I've come to a conclusion (this may change after reading the 2nd book) that if i was to marry a Caucasian guy, it would be a guy with a personality like the dude in the novel and looks like him.

Yeahhhhh. Geeky and wholesome as apple pie. So my cup of tea.

Holey, i just realized i typed up an ESSAY. I really did NOT meant it to be that way. I also didn't mean it to be so damn emo either. I guess enjoy the read because it was totally accidental.

Wings and beer w/ some good company tmr evening. Paper shopping et Beastmode avec zee cousin first though. I will potentially be doing something extremely brave tomorrow. Will blog about it when it happens.

outz.

The Hunger Games

For the past two weeks I've been reading this trilogy (the Hunger Games) recommended to me by Twin. Her exact words were "READ. ITS BETTER THAN HARRY POTTER". That to me is pretty UNpossible because absolutely nothing in this world can be better than Harry Potter. That includes Twilight too and it comes in second place for me. That said it WAS under her recommendation (actually it was more like an advisory) for me to start HP & Twilight. After much protest on how lame "wizards" and "vampires" are, i DID end up reading it (again, because it was a direct order) and became much more obsessed with those two series than her. Something she would never let go for the rest of my life lol In conclusion because she recommended the two book series that changed my life, i wasn't really allowed to question her when she began telling me what this book was about (because it sounded LAME again).

With that said, i was told by many people in the store (people around me and the employees, while i was holding the book and debating whether i should buy it or not) - how amazing the book is and they were not able to put it down. I ended up buying the softcover, reading it and........returning it back to the store in 3 days because i went ahead and brought the damn trilogy in hardcover online because it was thatttttttttttt gooooooooooood. I even FORCED myself to slow down while reading the 3rd (and final) book because i did not want the story/book to end!!!! When i finally finished the series the other night i felt SO sad and empty because i wanted to read MOREEEEEEEEEEEEE.

And tis begins my rant on how fucking amazing it was-

HOLYFUKERY the series is ONE BIG MIND FUCK. Do not be fooled by the fact that its published by Scholastic haha I have to say though, that the "hunger games" storyline itself is completely NOT original. Think....Battle Royale with Romance. But everything else is original and freaking mindblowing.

Remember this movie?

Recap: Class of 42 students are "abducted" (even though it was planned) and left on an island where essentially they must kill each other until there is one sole survivor. There's obvs small details like the tracking devices on their necks (that blow up if u attempt to take them off) or the various weapons and "supplies" they provide you with to kill everyone. Lots of blood, lots of gore- Just like how the japanese like it!

It's really hard to say which series i find better because they are all different in various aspects. Because:

  • Harry Potter - the entire world, character development, details is SO meticulous that to this day, ten years later, i still pick out details i have NEVER noticed in the past when i reread the books. that's just how insanely detailed HP is. the whole series comes together to form something utterly brilliant.
  • Twilight - i really liked the author's style of writing. believe it or not but the books are actually pretty funny and bella is SERIOUSLY not so monotoned and boring as k.Stewart portrays her in the movies. The way that twilight is breathtaking is that the books builds up to a final, huge, finale to essentially this enormous journey that S.Meyers had created.
  • The Hunger Games - The style in which this trilogy was written is entirely different from the above two series. Its crazy suspenseful and i kid you not- at the end of EVERY chapter there's a cliffhanger. Usually in novels there might be a cliffhanger or suspense in every 3-4 chapters but not with these books. It just makes you want to KEEEEEPPPP ON READINGGGG UNTIL YOUR EYES BURN and the author keeps on fucking with your mind OVER AND OVER again by having something TOTALLLYYYY UNEXPECTED happen. I think this series might even kick Twilight to 3rd place on my best reads list.
I'm not articulate enough to give a good description on why everyone should read this (and also because its almost 2am and i want to sleep) but the entire series is absolutely bloody (literally and metaphorically) epic. Highly recommended and it is SUCHHHH an EASY read.

I'm gonna start reading book 1 again now.

Or sleep.

It ISSSS 2am.

fffound

Natalie McDonald, who appears on page 159 of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, was a real person. She was a nine-year-old girl from Toronto, Canada, who was dying of leukemia. She wrote to JK Rowling asking what was going to happen in the next Harry Potter book as she would not live long enough to read it. The kindly author emailed back, but Natalie had died a day earlier. In tribute, she became a first-year student at Hogwarts named by the Sorting Hat in Gryffindor - the house for the brave at heart - in the fourth book.

thats so saddddddd.

10 day -you- challenge ; Books

  1. Harry Potter
(In the following order from most loved to least love: Book 3, Book 7, Book 6, Book 1, Book 2, Book 4, Book 5)

Everyone knows what a hugeee Harry Potter fan. Just to make it clear though, I am a BOOK fan, not really a movie fan. I watch the movie for the pure sake that i am a book fan and i ought to contribute to the movies because it is based on the book - even if it sucks bulls balls. Anyhoo. Hands down, favorite book(s) no doubt in my mind is Harry Potter. It seriously changed my life (made me into the geek i am) and pretty much following it from the start has been phenomenon. I can tell you people now that its a whole lot more than just people in capes, pointing sticks at each other, mumbling some sort of pig latin while maneuvering themselves on a broomstick and banding together to kill a man that has severe facial disfiguration. Its a LOTTT more than just that. But this is not the place and entry to re-explain it as i have tried to many times. Ugh. Muggles.
  2. Twilight
(In the following order from most loved to least love: Book 1, Book 4, Book 3, Book 2)

Ok don't start judging just yet. First off, just like Harry Potter - i am a book fan, NOT a movie fan. The movies are rubbish and does not even capture the essence of the book. I don't support the movies, i support the books. I actually hate the movies but i watch it because R.Patz is eye candy delight. I think for me personally, what really sold me was the idea that an ordinary girl (plain jane i guess) is able to have her fairytale ending with a super hot, ideal guy. Who doesn't love a good fairytale story? Especially a romantic schmuck like me. Anyways, another book (series) that changed my life.
  3. Twisted, by Jeffery Deaver
In terms of an actual novel (or collection of short, twisted, oh-my-gee-covers-mouth shocking stories) its gotta be this one. There is nothing else (aside from HP and Twilight) that comes before this book. Great read if you are into shocking, "twisted", thrillers.
  4. The Other Daughter, Lisa Gardner
I believe this was my first "adult" (not SEXUAL adult, but from the non-teenage section at the library haha) mystery novel that i read. I really don't remember what its about but i do remember that the ending was shockingggg. My mind might change if i read it again but for sure, first novel for me. Gotta mean something.
I'd also like to add that i am not one of those girls that only read fantasy, magical, fun stuff. i do read a lot of different kind of books AND true crime (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/index.html) but it just all happens that the ones that had an impact on my life happens to be the two series that has the most controversy. Just because i believe in magic and vampires are cool doesn't mean a total nutcase. You people can still take me seriously!

Heh.

Severe case of Holiday Blues

I tried really hard to change how this Christmas was going to be like this year. Everything i can do to not be alone, to create new traditions, to not allow myself to be pitiful and feel sorry for myself. I seriously, honest to god felt the way my Christmas Eve was spent - things might actually not be so bad and god probably might even be good to me.

Things dramatically went downhill from there. The root and cause of the problem being things at home. The favoritism of my brother has never been more evident - no matter how successful I am, my brother is entitled to the same luxuries without working for it. I feel like I am growing further apart from my mother because of her stubborn, restrained and old-fashion mind. The plus side is I feel like sometimes now that the older my father gets, the more he understands things.......when he isn't angry that is.

Everything just fell apart.

The perfect Christmas that i was suppose to have, expected to have - Gone. Stolen. Taken away from me.

The new Christmas that i wished to have now also non-existing with the exception of the great couple of hours escape i had over at K's last night. It was a great few hours i got to spend in company of good people. Her family are kind people to let me join. I appreciate and am forever grateful for that. They have no idea.

Then this morning those broken parts of this holiday just continued to crumble into dust. I got into the largest fight with the mother I have EVER gotten into in the existence of my life. It was brutal. Beliefs were brought up, harsh words were exchanged and it was obvious she was not gonna back down and knowing me when i am pissed, my attitude and face exhibits the words - Bring. It. On.

Yes, to my own mother. It was the worst, sickening and hurtful feeling.

I know that all of my friends are busy with boxing day and holiday festivities and the one thing i hate is to hassle them with my problems. I refuse to have friends change their plans for me. I refuse to have people go out of their way to see me. People that cares about me has done SO much for me this year without me asking for anything. You do not pay back good grace with selfishness. You do not treat people like that (something that I was trying to make my mother understand during our fight) and I especially am not going to repay back my friends by dragging them out of what they originally plan simply because i am sad.

I HAD to get out of the house even though I still have a fever and a crazy beast-like cough. Which was why i took refuge to the one place (as STUPID as it sounds) i know l always feel safe and warm at - Starbucks. After drugging myself up with cough meds and sinus drugs I ran all the way to the Yonge and Eglinton Starbucks because i also remembered my 2nd haven was there (being my used bookstore) aka My peaceful sanctuary.

So far its been a good choice to come. I find books to be very comforting (as NERDY as that sounds), the people working are always pleasant, i found 3 books, it was worth the trip. As for Starbucks, i know the workers were going to be good to me (been to this location a couple of times before and never been given grief), the guy at the bar even got me to laugh for a bit - more than i can ask for today. Sad how a coffee shop can give me that type of security. Might be the meaning behind it. Which would be even more sad.

That said comes down to me being here alone, typing up this vent with tears streaming down my face.

I hope they don't think im suicidal. Don't think SB is insured for that kind of stuff.

I'm alright. I'll get through this. Because hey, when do i ever not cry? : )

Bye.

  • My back is not in that much pain but im still really afraid of going to the gym and risk hurting it again. I really really miss combating.
  • My older (GCM) cousin got married the other weekend! Congratulations to her!
    • She was the first "cousin" in the family that did a completely westernized wedding which also meant she did NOT invite ANY relatives to the wedding whatsoever. It was ONLY immediate family.
      • That's so brave of her. Especially since our family is pretty traditional
      • And asians would know that asian (older) relatives would frown upon and consider it disrespectful.
      • Again i find that brave. I don't think i would be able to get away with it when my time comes.
    • Her wedding was really simple but pretty in its simplistic way.
      • I know for a FACT that T.I Group (yes, THE T.I Group that everybody wanted to work for in 4th year. My cousin is very successful and popular in the industry) printed everything for her wedding. I believe it was for free too, as a wedding gift.
        • I am SO jealous my gawd.
    • She had a LUNCHEON in a TENT for a wedding which i think again, is her going against the norm
      • I guess since she married a white guy, she might as well go completely against the grain and do everything against it. haha
    • AND AND. For a wedding cake......she had a CHEEEEEEEESE wedding "cake". I dont mean a Cheesecake Cake. I mean literally a CHEESE cake.
    • THAT IS SO ME!!!!!!!!!! LOL I LOVE. haha!!! The love for cheese really does run in the family doesn't it haha.
Okay that's it. MWDC meeting tomorrow!!! Going to be epic shit.
    haha trying.

    One Day

If i can't have this in my house one day

I expect to at least have this.

I would say i would have to had a pretty dreadful, incomplete life if i can't even have something as simple as that.

Someone please remind me if that does happen.

PAUL WAS RIGHT : A Futbol Post

Again. Quick warning that this is a futbol-filled post.
Skip ahead to read some footnotes i guess. lol

I think i am still in disbelief that Spain made it to the final, to duke it out with Netherlands for the World Cup this Sunday. I was seriously ready to watch them play in the losers match on Saturday and hang up my jersey when suddenly i saw their lineup and noticed that Torres was out!!?? That's when i thought omfg SPAIN HAS A CHANCE TO WIN!!!!!! Love the guy but without him, their defense was MUCH stronger and totally caught Germany off guard. The game was played exactly how Spain wanted it to be played. Pretty much the more possession they had, the harder their defense was for Germany to break through, the bigger chance they had. I was a little concern that it was going to go into OT. I think that would have been devastating and dangerous. Luckily one of Spain's veteran players heads it in to ensure a lead. I think the German lost a little momentum at that point and was discouraged a bit and wasn't able to score another one in because Spain's defense and keeper were too strong.

Side thing: I laughed my ass off when the "intruder" came running into the field in the middle of the game. AHAHHA omg what gets to me the most is the fact that hes holding a vuvuzela. As if that will help him hahaha I wonder what his purpose was. I was kind of hoping he would start dancing or start humping davi villa whom i believe was the closest to him. hahaha

    I digress.

When they brought Torres back out, i was really hoping that playing against an old opponent would bring back that spark that makes oh-so-extraordinary. Back in 2008 during the FINAL between Germany and Spain for the Eurocup, Torres flew past Lahm to make the winning goal. I thought maybe going head to head with Lahm again on the pitch would bring his inner "bull" back out....heh. But no. Skip down to see why he was not given that opportunity.

Torres comforting my two fave German players, Podolski and their hot captain Phillip Lahm. What a sweetheart.

Just like that kiddos, Spain avenged for my darlings over there in ENG. teheheheh BIG SMILES.

That said though, one of the things that really pissed the fuck out of me, is what you see in the above graphic. As you can see, Torres (#9) was COMPLETELY OPEN, no Germans defender to be SEEN and the dick Pedro was too fucking selfish to see that and did not pass it but instead LOST the damn ball. If he was actually able to utilize that to his advantage then it wouldnt have been such a piss off. But the fact that he was such a ball hog whore and didnt give Torres a chance to score- makes him a big bitch. Torres seriously just needs that ONE GOAL, one fucking goal to give him back his strikers confidence and that bitch and a half totally ruined it. You can even see Torres flaring up in the graphic. He mustve been pissed as hell as i am.

Anyways. Why i think Spain will win the world cup
    1. Unity. I don't think i have ever seen a team with so much bromance on the field. hahah Not even just that. But they are honestly like brothers off the pitch when they practice, travel, eat and spend time with each other. Its absolutely adorable. Their bond is a very big advantage because of their common goal of wanting to win for the team/country and not for personal glorification. They're also a lot more in-sync with one another which allows coordination to be better. Their unity is incredible if i may say so myself.
    2. Their ability to catch up. Unlike the other teams, i find that Spain has really good momentum (good consistency) and are able to catch up if needed.
    3. Slow but Sturdy. Spain is considered the 2nd slowest team in the World Cup next to North Korea. They honestly cannot outrun a lot of the teams. That said though, they do love their passes and when they start passing and passing and passing the ball back and forth, back and forth- it wears the opponents down (which was exactly what happened in the germany game) and thats when they go for the kill.
    4. They were the EURO champs in 2008. What more can i say?
The boys definitely have taken Spain to new heights in this world cup. They have NEVER been in the finals. This itself is monumental enough. Sunday is going to be the game of a lifetime!!!! i am wearing my jersey every chance i get for the remainder of the week haha!
    GO SPAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok now that's done with. A little bit about my day AS im watching the game lol. Thankfully, I was able to find people that actually took the day off to watch the game. Yes, futbol is THAT important to some of us!!!!! I was pleasantly surprised to see that many people that came out to watch it when i thought it was just going to be myself, J and S. We went to our usual bar to watch it on the big screen and did our usual 3.50 shots. After the game, for some reason we decided to bar hop and went somewhere else to drink even more. My god i was completely hammered by 6pm. It was actually really disgusting and i dont think l'll ever do something like that again hahah once is enough. Regardless though i had such a great time. What's really awesome about these guys and my cousin, is that they don't judge you no matter what you do. If i do what i do with a different bunch, iiiii don't think they'll still regard me in the same light. Also i don't know a bunch that will party harder then these guys and i loveeee that. I hope they like me. haha

Today's going to be quiet or rather i'm forced to be quiet. Currently staying in bed with a heat pad to my stomach because i have crazy crazy pains shooting at me. Today was originally gonna be a SB day with a 2 hour Combat and Pump session planned for later in the afternoon but with this- i can barely even make it to the washroom. So its just watching the game (again) and my HP book all day.

Wings with the boys tomolo! Saturday, J's bbq and watchin the losers match between Germany and Uruguay (may the cuties duke it out for 3rd place!) with K. My entire Sunday is reserved for futbol.

and then Monday means routines back into place. Can you believe it? Its already been a month and the tournament is ending!!!!!! Life is going to be so meaningless and empty.

10 Years of Harry Potter (Pic Spam)

Dear god its been TEN YEARS whole years since the FIRST Harry Potter movie came out, Thirteen since the books. This phenomenon that has shaped my life (turned me into a crazed, obsessive compulsive individual) and apparently is ending today, according to Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy...aka the blonde kid that plays HP's rival....for those who care) on his twitter. Actually its kind of contradicting because it officially ended almost 2 weeks ago (refer to pic) but Tom Felton said it was today for him!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I digress.

Oh look how handsome the boys have grown up to be!!!!!!
(Particularly Tom Felton. Left, lower corner. mmmmmm)
Firm believer since book 1 they were going to end up together and have really smart but dorky babies (in the book) !!!!!!!!!!!! HEHEHHE

It really doesn't feel that long and it still amazes me how I am still able to read the book and discover little bits of details that i have overlooked the first 20 times around in the past 10 years. That's saying a lot because there's 7 books!!!! J.K Rowling is a genius. That's all i have to say about the woman. Being able to develop a world, relationships and its accompanying details, fate and future all while shoving small tidbits of it in Book 1 that links to Book 7. It's unbelievable. I think it will be mandatory in my household in the future to read Harry Potter or else no internet!!! Anyways the absolute last movie is to be aired NEXT year in July so that said i have about a year left of my life before i actually need to grow the hell up.

Sighs. The transition fuking scares me.

The Harry Potter era is ending!! Sadly, even Twilight can never live up to this.
I need someone to take me to Hogwarts and buy meself a wand.

    Forbidden

I really should be forbidden to watch really sad emo movies that makes my heart hurt and tear & booger pipes turned on. I just finished watching The Time Travelers Wife and I really don't care what the crickets/reviewers/people say- i thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the fact that the book was much better....and they completely changed the ending and they chucked up about 80% of the novel content- it did not stop me from crying like a baby. I think the last 20 minutes of the movie i continuously cried with no breaks......while wearing a facial mask.

Someone remind me next time to not do a facial during a sad movie. It doesn't do you much good.

There was one part in the movie where Henry (Eric Bana) says to Claire (Rachel McAdams), "I don't want you to spend your whole life waiting for me." - i think at that very moment my heart ripped into ten thousand pieces. SOBS. && "That" part (the fireworks part). HEART RIPPP X SOBSxxxxx.

"It’s dark now and I am very tired. I love you, always. Time is nothing."   Favorite quote in the book! Along with the other 10 zillion ones that are just as grossly sweet.
Thought l'll share. Now i just gotta get back to work.

9 Years Old Emma Watson vs. 19 Years Old Emma Watson
    (via Source)

Holyyyyshiet. Talk about growing up and filling in NICELY. Hard to believe its been 11 years since the first Harry Potter movie came out. I AM SO OLD. xxx!!!

Anyways i had quite an enjoyable weekend. I shopped til i dropped and stumbled into a Nail Salon on Saturday with K&J and then spent my evening at SB (my previous post details the fatty evening) and had a super fatty late night dinner at midnight. The mister took my family out for dimsum on Sunday morning and that's always nice because i think my parents really enjoy it. The day flies by with a super-long unplanned nap that goes into the evening and i FINALLY got around to wallpapering my closet doors (thnx u lx). I'm so proud of the way it looooooks. Yays. =]  I'm not loading any pics of it though, until more of my TO-DOs has been completed.

Oh i also got my shots for the trip. Shit who the hell knew it would cost SO MUCH to protect ourselves from Hepatitis???? Argh. Must pay again for Part II of the vaccination in 6 months.

I foreshadow in the near future:
    • More hot yoga sessions pwlease.
    • National Home Show (Scored free passes!) with mister
    • Shutter Island & Alice in Wonderland in 3D yooo
    • Just4fun Fete (aka Graffiti Partay)
    • Longer work-out sessions

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightening Thief

This is such a Harry Potter thing that K completely frowns upon and chooses to ignore its heavily influenced presence in my life.....but this looks like this will be what im reading in Cuba!!hahah can't ignore it there my dear!!! (Unless you leave me stranded in a hut. Sad Face.)

Apparently according to Twin its very HP-like and pretty much anything she recommends usually ends up being something i become obsessed with so i can't wait to start on this series of fiveeeee. I find it interesting and a little sad that I am only able to get myself into books that have a lot of fantasy and entertainment value to the plotline. I'm also not cutting nor limiting myself from reading other types of books (which i do indulge myself into/with) but its not something that i would choose to read on the shelf if i saw..lets say...The Golden Compass next to The Other Boleyn Girl. On a overall, my friends (such as C,J,A) read a wide variety of novels that actually has great substance to it.....while im into thunderbolts and vampires. Not saying that Thunderbolts and Vampires is JUVENILE but that's another blog entry for another day.

Or i can just be crazy. Haha I digress.

So I kind of went against my philosophy of reading the actual novels first before watching a movie made based on the story.....but i went ahead and watched this last night with LX.

I actually had about 2 hours to run to Coles and buy the book and read it but that would also mean i would roughly need to read (and comprehend!) about 200 pages each hour to finish the book.

Hmmmm yeah so i settled to watch it first.

The action was good, i love Greek Mythology, the acting was terrible but i still love Greek Mythology and the main kid has so much potential to be the next Zac Effron and you know me and the youngins!!! (Think Taylor Lautner haha)(Side side note: Taylor Lautner JUST turned 18 this month. Yums. No longerrrrr jailbait nomnnomnom).

    Sidetrackked!!!!

Overall the movie was tres entertaining for $5.52 thus i can only conclude the book should be better because it always is.

    Yays.

    Trailers

I tend to not have that many nightmares but when I do, its horrific to the core.

Basically last night before I slept I watched the Lovely Bones trailer again. A recap for those who don’t know the plotline. The Lovely Bones is a movie based on a novel written by Alice Sebold about a young girl that was raped and murdered and it follows her life in heaven as she watches over her family...and killer. Yeah, it is exactly as graphic, messed-up and creepy as it sounds. Anyways the trailer seems freakishly accurate to the novel and it makes me want to watch the movie now even though @karlantonette & @_fadeaway both are telling me its shit...i might go against their warnings and waste 2 hours of my life for the hell of it lol. Anyways that being the last thing on my mind, I dreamt that I was the girl that was murdered except that the people around me were GCM CLASSMATES (the NON ASIAN ones...which is freaky on its own haha). Everyone just kept on dying mysteriously and nobody knew why and by who. It was freaky and scary as hellllllllllllll.

Then the killer gets caught and the dreamscene changes and by complete randomness, I was proposed to by Ron Ng (guy in picture).

HAHAHAH mmmmm yumyumyums (I had SUCH a great time looking for his picture lollllllll). It was such a sweet proposal!!!! It was by the river and everything and he (being the celebrity hahah) totally sweet-talked the entire proposal and it was just SOOOO perfect. GAH. hahah I suspect its from watching the VALENTINES DAY trailer last night (too) and the part where Ashton Kutcher proposes to Scarlett Johannsen totally melted me and left an imprint on my whacked-up subconscious. Muahah I’d like to note that the guy in the picture is a HK Celebrity that at one point I was/am utterly in love with and he is the same age and has pretty much the same Chinese name as the mister. Total irony I swear haha.

Back to my nightmare because it actually didn't end when Ron Ng proposed to me ahhah.

The even more freaky thing was that even though the “killer” was caught....he WAS NOT THE ACTUAL KILLER (!!!!!!!!!!) and the next thing you know it went from my sweet river scene to a scene where I was chased and about to be raped and murdered by the real one. At this point of course I forced myself to wake up because I felt myself getting mentally exhausted from the fear. Sadly by then it was 7:40am in actual time......which meant I only had 10 minutes of non-murderous rest/sleep time because my alarm is set for 7:45. ARGHHHH. & No i dont remember what the ending was.

    Creepy much??????????!!
