Day 6: Champs...NOTTT.

This entire tournament is giving me a freaking mental breakdown. Today i thought we would finally be seeing results that were predicted. Spain will be taking it homeeeee bitches. But the game was so brutal and Spain- EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS lost to the Swiss. It was NOT a draw either. It was a DEFEAT. An actual defeat that has never happened in the history of Fifa.

Now, I just watched the highlights for the game and i am in disbelief how the game was played.

This is so devastating!!! Tomorrow i REALLY need Greece and Argentina to do their thing!!!!

Fifa: Brazil vs.North Korea DPR

Okay this was THE match that i think shocked everyone. Even though North Korea lost, i felt like they lost with dignity and had redeeming qualities in aspects. Before the game, I was CERTAIN that Brazil was going to eat the Koreans for breakfast and then use their bones as toothpicks!!! I txting Tall J and the cousin and telling them how the koreans must be SOOO scared at the beginning of the game. To me, it was like playing with lions lol hungry, hungry lions. The game was very exciting, i was completely impressed with their defense and overall I thought they did amazing. Apparently according to my dad, when Brazil played China- they were massacred 6-0. Um yeah. How embarrassing lol so good for you DPR!!! Kudos to the asian countries for actually having a backbone this time around!!!

But im still glad Brazil won because it ups my picks in the pool. TEEHHEHEHE

....so badly but i have soo much to do. Blogging is actually one of my to dos so i thought l'll get it out of the way before i fall asleep at the keyboard.

As i mentioned in my last entry, there's lots of ummm i suppose "exciting" stuff going on. Lots of changes and things I am doing to keep myself busy.

First off yesterday, bright and early K came to get me so we can go meet S for her Florist consultation and then wedding dress hunting.

It was my first time going to any type of wedding-related appointments so for me being the obsessively weird- was completely ecstatic. I had a really good time and look forward to the weekend when she makes her final decision on the dress and cupcake testing. In the...7 hours (was it?) it was crazy how much i learned about what was involved in planning a wedding. I mean I knew that the amount of work and time that needs to be put into a wedding is outrageous but there was so much more to it. Mainly it was more like "industry" fyi-s that i picked it which was pretty awesome for what I am currently doing and deciding whether to pursue.

During the florist consultation, I was sitting there listening to S discuss what she wanted with the florist and as I sat watching the florist go through the details and her list of questions, i found myself completely submerged into the subject of weddings and inspired by the passion the florist women has for doing what she loves. This was also the same feeling I had when I was explaining how the "Invitation Design" process works for another girl.

I have always loved the subject of Weddings. I try not to bring that up to too many people (especially the male ones) because it scares potential mates (from experience). I think people can tell that I have a passion for this subject. Whether its for my own (even though whether if i am goinna get married is questionable and fuzzy at the moment lol) or others- I love everything about it including the mechanics and logistics involved in putting it all together. That said with no job lined up, lots of free time, two Wedding Invite jobs and a Wedding PLANNING job that I believe I am going to commit myself to....I think I am going to try and explore the Wedding Planning/Event Planning and Wedding Invitation route. Esthetically I believe I have the eye for pretty things, I have the interpersonal skills to work with people (im too nice and a big sap. brides love that), and i think i'm pretty organized and methodical to execute things...seeing im pretty anal when it comes to details and scheduling.

SOOOOOOO if i became a wedding planner/wedding invite designer- would you people refer me? lol

I have a zillion things to do for this. Aside from quoting these brides to-be, i have to get a site up so i can grab two more potential brides-to-be's attention. Then l'll be set for the summer until the fall. I'm praying to god that my application for E.I. will be approved because first, I need money. From now on i must be extremely conservative with my spendings. [ Went shopping yesterday. Terrible of me. ] because im still paying bills. Second if i do get approved, I'm going to save up to enroll in a winter course for Event Planning/Wedding Planning of some sort. I mean if I am going to be serious about it, i should put a little investment into getting certified and doing it the professional way. Basically E.I will be used for the following:

• More schooling (fak)
• Bills (Cell, Dad, Insurance, Gym)
• Savings
• Laser Printer/21"+ Monitor/New Laptop/Business-Related Equipment
• Whatever that is left is for the spending =[

On that note, i've also taken up a side creative project with Junior. (Yeah MORE things to do). Mostly I am doing this for him as a favor because he's like a little brother to me but also for the exposure and portfolio building experience that is involved. Won't get into details but those who knows should know that he's busy over his head and im proud that he's accomplished so much to date.

Anyways random thoughts:

• I'm getting pudgy again.
  The cousin has been on intense, hardcore Beast Mode for the past 2 weeks and i think it is time for me to rejoin her. I've been out of it for about 3 months now and i don't think my metabolism is holding up anymore. She's such a great source of motivation and so extremely informative (lol). We also have the same mentality on why we want to change our "lifestyle" and that's always good to have someone that is on the same mind set as you. At the very least she would understand what i am going through. That said, this week begins Kickboxing- two times a week. And its going to be the actual Muay Thai, wrapping your fingers and knuckles stuff. I don't believe its going to be anything like Body Combat. I wonder if my nails will get ruined in the process....haha. Less eating of course, Moderate eating on junk (as always....i don't believe in cutting stuff out. that's just lying to yourself) and start on my cup of oatmeal breakfasts again.
  - I think my goal is to trim to waist area by August (for CAMP MODE!!) and to be...possibly 1.5-2 sizes smaller by November. I'll consider that a birthday gift for myself lol Though im skeptical on that b/c im currently munching on fried yam cakes my mom made.
• Watched Splice last night
  That was the most fucked up movie i've EVER watched. Aside from the fact its my third weekend in a row that i've been supporting the Cinema Industry (argh)....i can't believe what happens in the movie. I don't even care if i spoil it for anyone but basically it involves a far too long scene of Hybrid Sex (erm like...Humans and Hybrid) and Hybrid RAPE (Hybrid on Human). Dot dot dot. Yeah. DISTURBED?!? I still am.
• Vampire Diaries Update
  To those that care haha I am on episode 18. I am four away from finishing Season 1 and have I mentioned....that I am completely, irresistibly in love with Damon Salvatore? Yeah. I want to box him, take him home and do things to him. mmmmmmmmm haha.

This time around she won't be half way around the world lol && we can excitedly watch it together over lots of alcohol. I'm also a huge England fan (like every other ASIAN). I remember that particular game 4 yrs ago (ENG vs PORTUGAL) i cried at the end of the game when they lost and couldn't make it to semi-finals. Last night i used two hour of my life to download the Oprah episode with Robert Pattinson (Edward), Kristen Stewart (Bella),  Taylor Lautner (Jacob) in HD.

New series im watching- Mysteries of Love and for the first time in what....8 years?!?!? Raymond Lam and Tavia are FINALLY PAIRED TOGETHER AGAIN. Ohmygod. This is going to be ROMANTICCCCCC. Ever since Golden Faith. I am forever their fan!! I cannot stand Raymond with Charmaine/Myolie/linda (ESPECIALLY her). Argh Yuck. That same goes with I can't stand watching Bosco being paired with anybody else aside from Myolie....or Kevin with Niki Chow. It just doesn't work lol.

Iron Man 2: The First Reality Check

I went to watch this movie with two of my most favorite guys in the world today and no doubt were they able to keep my mind off of things for a couple of hours. I thought it would have been very, very emotional for me but i was such a good girl and did not freak them out....not too much anyways. I guess prior to their arrival i did my freaking out stuff at home and a bit on the bus (when i wasnt napping). Watching this movie meant a lot to me because first, i didn't know who i was going to watch this with. Plans were made but obviously it would not happen. It was the first big reality check for me, the first thing that terrified me. Second was i didn't know how to face the guys. It hurt. I know this would hurt them alot. I didn't/still don't know how things are going to be from now on because it was so natural to be a group of 4....not one less. I was/am scared again. Luckily for me, they were great, supportive and assured me that no matter what happens....our friendships will never change. That made me feel a little better....less scared, less alone. A spark of hope again almost. Third and lastly, i love Iron man (wished i was those iron man cheerleaders...HA) and have looked forward to watching it on opening night for over a year. i HAD to watch it.

There were many moments during the movie where my mind would wander and...i wished so hard that you were next to me. What was originally intended, what should have been natural and expected...no longer there. Moments like those feels like a sudden spike has been stabbed into me. I would then force myself to refocus on whatever that's in front of me. I know that i am being oh-so dramatic but there are some things that just terrifies me to the core and the very thought of it is just unbearable. That said though, that's another thing i must learn to suppress in the next 2 days if i am to keep my promise to many that i won't be useless next week. It would upset many...

The movie was fantastic by the way. Love the action. Love the suits. Robert Downey Jr is seriously one hot man i'd do.

Is this what insomnia feels like??? this is ridiculous. i should sleep but i suddenly have this crazy urge to blog.

my long weekend has begun off not exactly how i planned it early in the week. i really hope the mister isnt sick tmr or else things are just going to get even more disappointing.

So i finished watching this series (recommendation from my brother): Don Juan DeMercado ( 情人眼裏高一D)

And i LOVED it. It was such a cute (but very unrealistic) mini seriessssss. I went through it in one day. haha

A quick synopsis: Its about the main character (being Wong Cho Lam （王祖藍)), and he's this really (& i mean REALLY) ugly guy (the actor deliberately glued his eyelids to give off the appearance of lazy eyes for this role) who has had it rough his entire life because of his physical appearance.To a point where nobody will even give him a chance to sing even though he's a really gifted singer. Then one day he eats a piece of chocolate that turned him into this SUPER HOT looking guy (being Bosco Wong) that every girl wants to mmmmmmm. However the effect only lasts 24 hrs and after that period of time he turns back into his ugly self. The story goes into involving other actresses and how they fall in love bleh bleh.

Anyways the first episode was actually REALLY sad because they made it really extreme how he was picked on and bullied because he was ugly....and i absolutely hateeeee watching things like that (as many can tell, im very sensitive when it comes to bullying and people judging others based on appearance). Good thing my brother reassured me that it picks up from there and it won't always be sad.

So in the series- Wong Cho Lam actually sang a couple of times and i think ive fallen in love with his voice.

I was going through my subscriptions to blogs i follow and one of the guys i've been following for a year or 2 just announced that he was engaged to his XANGA counterpart (THEY MET ON XANGA!!!). && THEN the day before, a girl i know (via using her services to bake my cousin a birthday cake) switched her status to ENGAGED as well. Omg everyone is getting married and its getting ME excited because everyone knows what a big wedding whore i am and i love being part of wedding excitement....... even if it doesn't remotely involve me. Congrats to all the newly-engaged!!! i cannot wait to stalk all your wedding pics.

Since i dont have a Costco Membership i'm not there alot so i didnt even notice they had a jewelery section let alone ENGAGEMENT rings. Now why would anyone want your engagement ring (the ring you want to show off to everyone) to be bought from Costco....versus Birks/Tiffanys/Henry Watson or even Peoples/Spencers....

If I had to choose between a .75 carat diamond engagement ring from Harry Winston or a 1.25 carat diamond engagement ring from Costco (both priced the same)........why the hell wouldnt i go for the Costco one? Logic is knocking here lol Honestly whether the ring is high end or not, i really don't care about the brand because i for one do not care about brands. Yo this is coming from a person that went to Walmart to look for bikini bottoms b/c American Eagle was too expensive.I do not care for engagement rings even more.

That's right- i think the future fiancee should skip out completely on the engagement ring and just get the damn BANDS (but expectations are HIGH for this) because engagement rings are flat-out ugly and the ones i do like are overpriced and id rather have that spent on more practical things like an imac. Now to go into even greater detail to show my dislike for engagement rings-  if I were to ever receive a style that resembles something a really hot girl or princess would wear- l'll throw it in their face. (okay i wont be THAT mean) but i am THAT serious. Also why would I want an expensive ring? I'll be scrubbing toilets and green bins anyways once im married and wearing something so expensive would just remind me why i'm not married to Ed Westwick (HAHAH mmmm ED WESTWICK). No but seriously...its a waste.

Of course this all can change when i get older and become more needy and superficial. haha Back to the original intent of this post.

In this article here, it explained how one can purchase a same quality rock at a no-name brand store for a significantly less price. The example they used was:

A $16,600 round diamond from Tiffanys (just over a carat, with very slight flaws and a color grade of F, meaning colorless.....diamond mumbo jumbo that i do not undersytand), including the famous Tiffany setting. Appraisers estimated and said the same grade of diamond would cost an average of $10,500 dollars at a no-name store without a setting.

Yeah the pretty exquisite packing isn't there (make your own) nor is the prestigious branding...but what you gain in this example is 6100$ towards a new life. I would not want to put the significant other into a position of debt when the wedding planning hasn't even started yet (that's when the real horror begins HEH HEH). I guess what i'm trying to say is i won't pay for branding (lets temporarily forget all the other factors that contribute to branding like better quality, convenience and services) alone because its ridiculous.

But its interesting that you can find ANYTHING at Costco. Kind of like how you can buy coffins at Walmart? Craziness.

YESH. After like THREE MONTHS of no Gossip Girl, they are returning tomorrow night with episode 13 (Hurt Locket) and it is going to be DRAMAAAH-FUL. In the previews it looks like there's going to be SEX flying at us left and right. ohmygee EVERYONE is gonna get action, even lame jenny with sexy Damien. Gah. Excitements.
